TKO Software, Inc. today announced an agreement for the exclusive rights for developing a PC and console game based on SAHARA -- Paramount Pictures and Crusader Entertainment's blockbuster movie. SAHARA is based on the international best-selling novel by Clive Cussler, and stars Matthew McConaughey, Penelope Cruz and Steve Zahn. TKO Software will invest $7 million in developing a 3D action adventure game to launch with the film in late 2004.

SAHARA is a motion picture based on one of the 17 best-selling action-adventure books by Clive Cussler. Produced by Crusader Entertainment and directed by Breck Eisner, the film is set in North Africa and follows the adventures of a modern day hero, Dirk PittĀ® (Matthew McConaughey), a Special Project Director for the U.S. National Underwater and Marine Agency (NUMA). Pitt is a master explorer who finds himself set against an evil billionaire industrialist in a bid to save the world from the spread of a catastrophic pollutant.

"We are excited to be developing games for this extraordinary franchise and look forward to working with Paramount Pictures and Crusader Entertainment to deliver an epic title," said Jacob Hawley, president & CEO, TKO Software, Inc. "We are delighted to have been chosen by Viacom Consumer Products and Crusader Entertainment to develop the PC and console games for SAHARA."

Commenting on the agreement, Sandi Isaacs, VP of Licensing, Viacom Consumer Products said, "TKO has quickly established itself as a formidable developer. Crusader Entertainment and Paramount Pictures' SAHARA promises to be an incredible movie experience and we are confident that TKO will provide audiences with the opportunity to relive the excitement through an imaginative and exciting video game."

Todd Slater, VP of Marketing at Crusader Entertainment added, "Dirk PittĀ®, played by Matthew McConaughey, will establish a new breed of modern, cool, action-adventure hero for the big screen, and we set out with Viacom Consumer Products to find a developer who could do the same for the franchise in the gaming world. We are so thrilled that TKO has come on board because they have the experience and creativity necessary to establish this as one of the most cutting edge, exciting franchises in the gaming world today."
