In Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Harry is mysteriously selected as the fourth competitor in the dangerous Triwizard Tournament. Each contestant in this international competition must confront a fire-breathing dragon, rescue friends from the icy depths of the Black Lake, and navigate the twisting mysteries of a vast, dangerous maze. Players will experience all the thrills of the movie -- from the Quidditch World Cup campsite to a heart-stopping duel with Lord Voldemort himself!

1. Gameplay

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is a game that can be played with 1-3 players.
The first player can be chosen from a menu at the beginning of each level. New players can choose to be any of the remaining two characters. However, Harry must face the Triwizard Tournament tasks and the battle with Lord Voldemort alone.

To drop-in to an existing game simply press ESC on the keyboard and select a character from the menu.

For second and third players, you will need a DirectX 9.0c compatible input device (see Peripherals below for more details).

2. Default Controls

3. Minimum PC Configuration

In the event of any problems, please ensure that your PC meets the minimum specification as stated below.

4. DirectX

It is highly recommended that you ensure that your computer's components are utilising the most recent DirectX 9.0c compatible software drivers. Please consult your card manufacturer for their newest drivers.


5. Uninstall

To uninstall the demo of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire go to ProgramsElectronic ArtsHarry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Demo in the Start menu. Click on Uninstall to proceed.

Alternatively, click on the Start menu, select Settings and then Control Panel. Now find Add/Remove Programs and click to run. Scroll down the list until you see Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Demo, select it and click on Add/Remove to uninstall.

6. Peripherals

The demo of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire supports any DirectX 9.0c compatible input device. To play a two or three player game you will need to have a USB hub and any DirectX 9.0c compatible input device for the second and third players.

If you are experiencing any problems with the configuration of your input device, you can choose to manually re-configure it:

*Go to ProgramsElectronic ArtsHarry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Demo in the Start menu and select "Controller Configuration".
*The controller configuration program should detect all input devices connected before the program was launched.
*Select the input device you wish to configure, click "Start Configuration" and follow the on screen instructions.
*When you have completed configuration, click "Save configuration" to save your settings or "Quit" to restart the process.

7. Trouble Shooting

Computer hardware manufacturers are constantly updating their driver software so that their hardware can play the latest software programs with the best possible performance. If your system is not using the latest driver please consider obtaining an updated driver. Doing this may also give you benefits such as increased performance, the elimination of a technical problem and new component features.
