Valve today announced a Source Engine licensing partnership with Kuma Reality Games, creators of KumaWar. Already in development, Kuma’s Source-based projects, including a comedic action title and the next generation of KumaWar, are targeted for release on the PC later this year.

“Kuma has been tremendously successful over the last two years, but we’re ready to move to the next generation of video games,” said Keith Halper, CEO, Kuma Reality Games. “By using Source, we’ll be able to create realistic characters for our upcoming episodic television-like products.”

The Source Engine Technology, the same Valve created for Half-Life 2, gives developers the ability to create expressive digital actors and physically simulated worlds. It also offers advanced rendering capabilities and the industry’s most convincing artificial intelligence. For more information, please visit www.valvesoftware.com
