SCi/Eidos In Takeover Talks ... Again

by Rainier on Dec. 1, 2008 @ 6:22 a.m. PST

With SCi/Eidos' losses mounting, the takeover talks that it declared were "over" in early 2008 are back on track, according to UK's DailyMail. Back in February, SCi started restructuring, delaying and canceling various titles, and a few months later secured $120 million funding by partnering with Warner Bros. (having turned down an offer from Infogrames), but none of that seems to have stopped it shares from plummeting. Looking to acquire the Tomb Raider/Hitman publisher, which was once valued £1billion, on the cheap, inside sources reveal EA and Ubisoft might have a renewed interest.
