Yuri Lowenthal, an actor known for voicing characters in games such as Afro Samurai, Halo 2 and Prince of Persia, is proving that voice-over can be a stepping stone into more visible roles, as he has just landed a recurring role on Fox's Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles playing a resistance fighter who's battling SkyNet in the year 2027.

Actor Yuri Lowenthal has just booked a recurring role on FOX’s "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" playing Christopher Garvin, a resistance fighter fighting SkyNet in the year 2027.

Known primarily for his work in voice-over, Lowenthal has voiced both Superman on Kids’ WB’s "Legion of Superheroes" as well as Iceman on NickToons’ hit series "Wolverine and the X-Men" and has most recently dueled vocally with the likes of Samuel Jackson, Lucy Liu and Ron Perlman in the recent video game and film release "Afro Samurai". He continues his hero tour every Saturday morning where he plays the titular Ben Tennyson on Cartoon Network’s smash hit "Ben 10: Alien Force".

Lowenthal's previous video game credits include Halo 2, Medal of Honor 2 : Rising Sun (in which he played a Japanese-American intelligence officer), Race Master, and most notably as the title character in the Prince of Persia game.

When asked how the transition from behind-the-mic to in-front-of-a-camera was for this self-professed Hollywood geek, Lowenthal replied, “This is the kind of job that made me want to get into acting in the first place. Are you kidding? Terminators? Plasma rifles? It’s a sci-fi geek’s dream come true.”

Other projects Lowenthal has in the pipeline, include just finishing post on his first self-produced feature with his production company, Monkey Kingdom Productions, as well as being in production on his second with wife and partner Tara Platt. The two are co-authoring a book on voice-over. He is also attached to no less than two web-series that will feature other faces familiar to sci-fi fans. And in his spare time? Yuri continues to work the mic, voicing Sasuke on Cartoon Network’s "Naruto", and working on several upcoming game series.

Lowenthal’s episodes of "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" begin airing Friday, March 6th at 8pm on FOX.
