Inspired by Dark Souls and Devil May Cry, Hippocampus is a gothic hack & slash game with gore action, platform phases, and parkour.

Hippocampus is a third person hack & slash game with fast paced combat system, an original soundtracks, platform phases, and focused on mutilations driven by different enemy behaviors.

Play as Lord Moebius who made use of a dangerous hallucinogen, the datura stramonium, to make his memories vivid in order to meet again Lorelei, his lost betroathed. Face the monstrosities given birth by the hallucination, solve environment puzzles to access new areas and discover the truth behind the disappearance of Lorelei.

The entire gameplay revolves around keeping the memory bar vivid. Taking damage from enemies, summoning weapons and powering them up will consume your memory bar, but you have many ways to regain it (by finding more Datura plants to consume or by mutilating enemies). If the memory bar is entirely consumed you get teleported back at the nearest checkpoint.

Key Features:

  • Unique health system
  • Thrilling old school action adventure
  • Gore violence
  • Hard platform phases
  • Many enemy behaviors
  • Challenging boss fights
  • Developed in Unreal Engine 4

Hippocampus is coming to PC (Steam) on February 20, 2020.
