announced plans to release it in North America as National Geographic: Africa, but that never seemed to have happened. Natsume has now finally picked up the publishing rights and will release it later this year.

Afrika is a faithful replications of much of Africa's flora and fauna. SCEA showed the first glimpse of it at E3 2006, but hasn't been heard of since. Over the weekend we revealed a
possible release date, and since SCEJ launched a
teaser website, albeit quite empty with just a "coming soon" logo, and Sony Europe made the
odd statement that it will NOT be publishing Afrika.

Battlefront has released the first patch for their recently released WWII hybrid turn-based/realtime 3D simulation Combat Mission: Afrika Korps. This upgrade brings your retail game to v1.03 and addresses a glitch in the previous v1.02 patch. This version works for the US as well as European edition of the game but games saved in v1.03 can't be loaded in by the older version. Read more for detailed fix list and download links ...

Digital Jesters/Encore has released a map editor for Digital Reality's WW2 RTS Desert Rats vs. Afrika Korps. The map editor (requires your game to be v1.18) will allow you to create your own multi-player maps to give to your friends or pass around and play online or over a network with. The map editor allows you to make a map of any size as well as place most of the objects seen in multi-player and single-player.
