by Rainier on Sept. 1, 2021 @ 2:33 p.m. PDT

In Truck Driver you must build your career and become the most respected trucker around!

Climb in your cabin, rev up your engine and hit the road in Truck Driver!

Fuel up and cruise through a vast open world in one of the most beautiful machines known to man. Start off as a contractor and work your way up by taking on jobs, earning money and making a name for yourself amongst the local community. Buy your own trucks, get new parts and hurtle down the roads! Do you have what it takes to become a respected Truck Driver?

Unlike any other trucking experience, Truck Driver is completely focused on the career mode. By valuing the ‘game’ aspects over the ‘simulation’ aspects, SOEDESCO aspires to bring the fun-factor back into the trucking genre.

SOEDESCO announces the delay for Truck Driver DLC ‘Heading North’ as well as the Truck Driver - Premium Edition for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Previously the ‘Heading North’ DLC was supposed to launch on September 14 and the Truck Driver Premium Edition to launch on September 30.

As the team continues to focus on polishing and adding the final touches to ‘Heading North’, the DLC will launch on September 30 instead. This also means that the Premium Edition will be aimed to launch at the end of October for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S since the DLC will be included in this edition.

The Heading NorthDLC will feature a new map called Mangefjell, a lush scenic island with Nordic inspired landscape. The new map teaser reveals some of the locations in this upcoming DLC and more teasers will be released in the near future. To play ‘Heading North’, players would need to have the base game.

The map teaser shows that Mangefjell will showcase locations such as new towns, roundabouts, a harbor and geographical sceneries such as a field of geysers and an area of henges.

This PS5 and Xbox Series X|S Premium Edition will contain revamped truck models and will utilize the graphics-processing capabilities of the next-gen consoles. All previous DLC are also included, such as the ‘Paint Jobs’ DLCs, the ‘Hidden Places & Damage System’ DLC, as well as the recently-announced ‘Heading North’ DLC.

In this Premium Edition, choose between resembling the pride of either the US, Germany, France or the UK with the ‘Paint Jobs’ DLCs. Additionally, a damage system is also included with the ‘Hidden Places & Damage System’ DLC, along with three hidden locations and five new AI vehicles. Lastly, included is also a brand-new map that features Nordic-inspired landscapes and a scenic country called Mangefjell. The trailers, trucks and cargos have also been remodeled to work with next-gen consoles.

The Premium Edition includes:

  • Truck Driver base game
  • Paint Jobs DLCs
  • Hidden Places & Damage System DLC
  • Heading North map DLC
  • 10 new tracks added to the OS

Key Features:

  • Enjoy a trucking experience focused on your career as a truck driver
  • Build stronger relationships with the local community with each job
  • Customize your truck with tons of parts and tune it to your liking
  • Explore a vast open world and watch it progress with you
  • Navigate through beautiful landscapes and fully explorable cities.

Currently available for Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), Truck Driver is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on October 2021.
