'Lethal Skies II' (PS2) Flies Into Retail Stores - Screens

by Rainier on Sept. 9, 2003 @ 12:35 p.m. PDT

“Lethal Skies II is filling a big need for PS2 gamers this year, giving them an all-new flight shooter that delivers beautiful graphics, fast-paced action, varied missions and environments, and game play that’s explosive minute-by-minute,” said Tim Pivnicny, Senior VP of Sales & Marketing at Sammy Studios.

The title is the new sequel in the popular arcade-style jet combat series developed by Asmik Ace. Lethal Skies II is set on a future Earth devastated by environmental disaster and now coping with wars among remaining nations. Players in the game fight against the greatest array of enemy war machines ever amassed, taking on conventional combat crafts along with futuristic vehicles such as VTOLs, hover-tanks, battle mechs, giant helicopters, mobile fortresses and attack satellites. Lethal Skies II has more than 20 missions, including unlockable bonus missions where players can reverse roles to become the enemy. Additional new features to the sequel include split-screen and i.link 2-player mode, interactive 3D battle maps, movie galleries, five different 1st and 3rd person POVs, customizable background music and an all-new ability to issue commands to wingmen mid-mission.
