'Wartime Command' - Screens

by Rainier on Dec. 9, 2003 @ 9:01 a.m. PST

Players will command a special task force composed of different kinds of units, including tanks, APCs, field guns, mortars, various infantry regiments and will also have an opportunity to call for artillery and air support. With a focus on unit detail and combat realism, would-be generals are faced with authentic battle scenarios, taken straight from actual World War II records and maps.

Set to be the most authentic and compelling tactical real time strategy game ever designed, Wartime Command will excel in detail and accuracy, especially in its portrayal of period weapons of war.

In addit ion to bringing innovation and a new epic 3D visual standard to tactical strategy gaming, the intense experience of Wartime Command’s gameplay is compounded by the amount of research invested in the game by the development team at 1C in Russia.

Over 300 individual vehicles, planes and weapons have been recreated from military blueprints, photographic reference and technical information. Vehicles and planes are fully modelled from military data, internal schematics and up to 20 external photos taken from all angles.

All aspects of vehicle, armour and damage levels make use of the game's sophisticated physics engine. In a Tiger Tank, for example, front, side, rear, top
and turret armour values will be depicted correctly - as are the ballistics and damage of any projectile hitting the tank.
