Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is a cinematic, emotionally-charged action game where two sons set out on a journey to find the Water of Life in an attempt to cure their ailing father and can only rely on one another to survive.

Guide two brothers on a journey as they set out to find a cure for their dying father. Control both brothers at once as you experience co-op play in single-player mode. Solve puzzles, explore the locations and fight boss battles, controlling one brother with each thumbstick.

Starbreeze announced that it has signed an agreement for the sale of its game “Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons” for a total sum of US$ 500 000 in cash. The game has sold more than a total of 800.000 units worldwide during its lifetime. The transaction includes both the full entitlement to the game as well as related trademarks and domain names.

“The sale represents our final transition to the digital strategy. With Brothers we’ve created a strong and critically acclaimed IP, which we now feel can be best nurtured under a new owner. Going forward, we will continue development focused on expansive design, a concept proven with the PAYDAY-franchise. Brothers will continue to generate awe and admiration for the great storytelling standard Josef Fares set under 505 Games watchful eye.” said Bo Andersson Klint, CEO of Starbreeze AB.

Ian Howe, President of 505 Games, said “Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is a remarkable game, one of the most affecting games of the last generation and one of which 505 Games has been very proud to be associated. This acquisition reflects 505 Games’ stated strategy of owning and controlling its own IP, and, moreover, IP that can contribute something meaningful to the world of interactive entertainment.”
