'DC Universe Online' (ALL) Justice League Dark Episode Next Month

Dimensional Ink has built a world where you feel like you've stepped into the DC Universe and become the ultimate super-hero (or villain) along side of Superman, Batman, or Ambush Bug.

Lex Luthor has traveled back through time with news of a dire future: While the heroes and villains spent years battling amongst themselves, Brainiac has been feeding on their powers, building strength to return to Earth and destroy humanity. To change the future, Lex has come back to set off a device that bestows super powers to thousands of every-day citizens and give humanity a fighting chance. Can Brainiac be stopped, or is this another nefarious Lex Luthor plot?

As a traditional action-based MMO that combines fast-paced, twitch-based combat with an interactive physics system to deliver a new and unique gameplay experience, DC Universe Online brings the DC Universe to life, allowing players to create their own superheroes - or villains - and join forces with their favorite DC Comics characters to aid in saving – or destroying – the universe.

DCUO offers a dramatic online setting where players can enter the DC Universe and battle alongside or against their favorite DC Comics heroes and villains including such icons as Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and The Joker, as well as many other fan favorites such as Green Lantern, The Flash, Catwoman and Martian Manhunter. The action and drama will play out in such well-known locations as Gotham City and Metropolis among others.

DC Universe Online was created in the artistic vision of legendary comic book artist Jim Lee, and set within a world created by famous DC writers including Geoff Johns and Marv Wolfman.

Daybreak Games has revealed Justice League Dark, a new episode heading to DC Universe Online on March 28th.

In Justice League Dark, a giant rift has opened in the sky above Gotham City. A massive, tentacled Daemon is tearing through from another plane as the helpless citizens of Gotham confront the insignificance of their pitiful human existences. Ancient magic is at work, revealing truths perhaps beyond human understanding, truths that threaten madness in the face of the infinite unknown.

But Earth is not without defenses against such dread, fright, and terror. Experts in the occult recognize the magical origins of this new chaos, and must now work together and with players to discover the secrets that might turn back this invasion, at least for a time.

Justice League Dark features a large-scale episode, with level-agnostic event versions of content available to all players for a limited time:

  • New and returning heroes and villains, including Zatanna, John Constantine, Mordru, Doctor Fate, Felix Faust, and Shazam
  • A variety of singleplayer and multiplayer adventures set in several magical and otherworldly locales, including the House of Mystery
  • Player rewards, including new gear, styles, artifacts, base items, and feats

"In the realm of Magic, there is Chaos and there is Order - and somewhere in between lies John Constantine. And when the sky splits open and murderous magic breaks through, there's only one group you call - the Justice League Dark!," says DC Universe Online Creative Director SJ Mueller

"Constantine has been a fan favorite here in the studio for some time, and with the way everyone responded to him in the Artifacts mission, we knew his time would come. That time is now. We're starting 2019 off in the realm of nightmares and mysteries. We need the Justice League Dark!," stated DC Universe Online Executive Producer Leah Bowers.
