'Fortnite' (ALL) World Cup - Creative Tournament Announced

by Rainier on April 18, 2019 @ 8:54 a.m. PDT

Fortnite is an expansive original world that invites players to be creative, resourceful and collaborative, combining building skills and destructible environments with intense PvP combat.

In Fortnite, players and their friends lead a group of Heroes to reclaim and rebuild a homeland that has been left empty by a mysterious darkness only known as “the Storm.”

Players will band together online to explore the world for resources, build extravagant forts, find or build insane weapons and traps as they protect their towns from the strange monsters that emerge during the Storm.

Fortnite Battle Royale is the FREE 100-player PvP mode in Fortnite. One giant map. A battle bus.

The last one standing wins.

The Fortnite World Cup Online Qualifiers kicked off April 13 and concludes with the Fortnite World Cup Finals in New York City from July 26 - 28. The Fortnite World Cup is part of our $100,000,000 commitment towards competitive play in 2019, but that prize pool isn’t limited to Battle Royale gameplay.

We’re proud to announce Fortnite World Cup - Creative!

More Ways to Win

Five events, five different Creative trials, all built by community Creators.

Fortnite World Cup Creative trials will feature five events, each focused on a new Creative game. Fifteen participants will then be selected to face off in the ultimate Creative competition at the Fortnite World Cup Finals for a chance to win a piece of a $3,000,000 Creative prize pool.

Qualify

The road to the Fortnite World Cup Creative Finals includes five showcase events running from April 29 - June 7. Every week you’ll have a chance to try out the latest Creative trial and submit your best clip using the event specific hashtag on YouTube. Our special Fortnite captains will select the top submissions as winners. The selected winners each week will be headed to New York City to participate in the Fortnite World Cup Creative Finals!

We’ll kick things off with the first trial, built and judged by Cizzorz. Tune into Fortnite’s social channels and follow Cizzorz online for the latest news on the first Creative trial. Every other week a new Creative trial will be revealed, with more opportunities to qualify for the Finals!

Stay tuned to Fortnite social channels for updates on the Fortnite Creative World Cup. Expect more info on each trial coming soon from each of the captains.
