'Black Desert Online' (ALL) Rolls Out Underwater Ruins, Reveals Star's End Update

by Rainier on May 22, 2019 @ 6:13 p.m. PDT

Black Desert Online is an open-world action MMORPG with next-generation visuals and skill-based combat that rejuvenates the genre.

With the deepest character customization of any game currently on the market, Black Desert Online allows for unprecedented detail in character creation. Its intuitive controls, beautifully designed world, and extensive lore will enthrall both newcomers and veterans of MMO games and action RPGs.

Travel through the lands in search of treasure and adventure or become one of the top craftsmen in the land. Set up trade routes and breed horses or compete against other guilds in epic siege warfare.

Kakao Games and Pearl Abyss have rolled out the new Underwater Ruins expansion where only the most seasoned adventurers will be able to venture to these new water-themed locations to face off against some of the fiercest enemies in the game.

Players will have to travel by boat and dive into the ocean to enter the two adventuring locations. There are the Protty Cave and the Sycraia Ruins, as well as Sycrid, a brand field new boss in Black Desert Online. Once the location has been reached, players do not have to swim during combat and/or exploration.

Featuring brand new enemy types and powerful items for players to acquire, the Underwater Ruins also adds a new summonable boss named Sycrid. This boss will require a small group of players to work together to be able to overcome him. Defeating him gives players a chance to acquire the highly desirable Tungrad Ring, the strongest ring in the game.

Coming on June 5th, The Star’s End high-end content update will have players strive to forge a new legendary Blackstar weapon.

The Blackstar weapons represent a new pinnacle of power for Black Desert Online players. In a new quest line, players will be taken to a new area called Star’s End. Here, players will gather materials that can be used in forging a new abyssal weapon of ultimate power.

Star’s End is a new area themed after the infamous world-boss Kzarka and is located in the western area of Calpheon, one of the biggest regions of Black Desert Online. Only the bravest adventurers will be able to challenge the dangers that lie within. Forging the Blackstar weapon will be a true achievement marking the player as a veteran of the game.
