'Neverwinter' (ALL) Uprising Module Available On PC, Gets Console Date - Trailer

by Rainier on Aug. 13, 2019 @ 5:34 p.m. PDT

In Neverwinter, players choose to become one of five classic D&D classes and team up with friends or NPCs to form five-person co-op groups. Players also create their own storylines and quests utilizing a user-friendly content generation system.

Players explore the vast city of Neverwinter and its surrounding countryside, learning the vivid history of the iconic city and battling its many enemies. In Neverwinter, players can create their own quests and campaigns with the Foundry, a powerful content creation tool that allows players to seamlessly integrate their adventures in to the live game world.

They might not be the most pleasant-looking creatures, but they are definitely a fierce bunch of savage and bloodthirsty warriors. By plaguing the civilized races, Orcs have always been a major threat to humans, elves and dwarfs. Laying claim to the area in the northern half of the old Tower District, Orcs have made the Cloak Tower in Neverwinter their home. Even the most courageous heroes will have to fight their way through the ruins of this district to put an end to the Orc domination and help restore Neverwinter to her former glory.

Neverwinter’s seventeenth module, Uprising, is now available on PC, coming to PS4 and Xbox One on October 1, 2019.

The latest update for the free-to-play MMORPG set in the Forgotten Realms introduces an all-new playable race of the Gith. These psionic warriors are seeking retribution against the Illithid, intruding on Halaster Blackcloak’s lair of Undermountain, which culminates in a 10-player Endgame Trial against the Mad Mage himself. This update also includes fresh PvP content, a renovated Protector’s Enclave, recrafted Early Game experience and much more.

The conflict between the Illithid and the Gith erupts within the caverns of Undermountain, offering players the unique opportunity to challenge Halaster Blackcloak in an endgame, 10-player trail when he emerges to deal with these threats to his realm.

Adventurers’ extended stay in Undermountain was very prosperous for Protector’s Enclave, leading to renovations across the city. Users setting forth into Protector’s Enclave and beyond will also find an updated Early Game experience - with adjustments made to several zones and stories. Following the class optimizations in Undermountain, players can look forward to an all-new PvP map and gear to earn.

Finally, a Fashion system overhaul will keep adventurers looking their best, and an additional ‘Tales of Old’ event will revive more dungeons from the past- giving players more dungeons than before - binding form and function.

Learn more about the changes coming with Neverwinter: Uprising below:

  • All-New Gith Race - Become the rebellion! The new race of psionic warriors is available to VIP members the first two weeks following Uprising’s launch and to all PC players for the following two weeks. This cycle will repeat on console only when Uprising launches on October 1.
  • Uprising Storyline - Engage the illitihid in a struggle that will take adventurers from the depths of Undermountain to a secret gith asteroid base in orbit above Toril.
  • Tower of the Mad Mage Trial - Enter Halaster Blackcloak’s private library to match wits and powers in an all-new, Endgame 10-Player Trial.
  • Protector’s Enclave & Early Game Zone Revamp - Adventurers returning from their questing to the south may notice some changes to the heart of Neverwinter. • New PvP Content – Enjoy a new map, Stardock Arena, and fresh rewards for your battle efforts as the development team continues to evolve the PvP experience following class overhauls in Undermountain.
