Chernobylite is a science-fiction survival horror experience, mixing the free exploration of its disturbing world with challenging combat, unique crafting, and non-linear storytelling.

April 26th, 1986, 1:23 AM local time. The day when the Chernobyl nuclear disaster occurred, and the life of 350,000 people changed forever. At the time, you were just a passionate, but naïve, young physicist working at the facility. And like many, you’ve lost what was most dear to you – your girlfriend. Thirty years later you’re still struggling with the demons of the past. To finally put them to rest, you return to what’s now called the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone.

30 years after the catastrophe, the pollution in Chernobyl continues to increase due to the unexpected activity of a dangerous substance produced as a result of the explosion, called “chernobylite”. You're far from safe. It is rumored from other stalkers still living in the Zone, that under the influence of its radioactivity, strange things have started to happen. Things only described in tales for naughty children up until now. You’re returning to Chernobyl with one goal in mind: to find your missing girlfriend and uncover the dark secret behind her disappearance. Get ready to confront not only the dangers of radiation and the military presence, but also the potential threat emanating from these new, mysterious happenings. Keep your wits about you and try to maintain your composure, because Chernobylite is going to challenge your very sanity.

Get ready for a thrilling adventure of survival, conspiracy, horror, love, and obsession. One that will6 prove to you that it’s not about how you face your fears, it’s about how you survive them.

Chernobylite is a science-fiction survival horror experience from the team behind the critically-acclaimed Get Even. The game mixes the free exploration of its disturbing world with challenging combat, unique crafting, and non-linear storytelling. The game utilizes Unreal Engine 4 and is based on Reality 51’s scanning technology, which is in development by The Farm 51 for over five years.

Half a year since its Steam Early Access launch, Chernobylite is now 50% richer in content and getting ready to launch its full PC version within the next months, with an updated project roadmap.

Fans of exploring the Zone can finally enjoy a long-awaited part of the game – Pripyat's most iconic sites. Come and visit the famous amusement park and its huge Ferris wheel. Next, check out Lenin Square and several nearby buildings. Remember, however, that places like the Palace of Culture Energetik or the Polissya Hotel are not the same as they used to be. Expecting abandoned buildings, you'll find a mysterious, scientific military facility instead – one that can be infiltrated. The only question is: are you brave enough to walk into the darkness and reveal its dangerous secrets?

On top of the newly added Pripyat area, gamers will also find the following content updates:

The second part of the Tatyana investigation

A new fractal world that exposes some past events and gives answers to a few questions. A conclusion to a new investigation on the board. A very mysterious and important mission for both Igor and the player.

New character Olga

A tough Ukrainian teenage girl. She's one of the inhabitants of "The Village" a settlement deep in the dreary Red Forest. She fears no one and hates NAR with a passion after witnessing their cruelty. Her goal is simple but difficult to achieve she wants all of NAR out of Chernobyl, or dead (and not exactly in that order). Olga can be recruited to the base and sent on missions. The player can also learn new skills from her.

New story missions

The developers from The Farm 51 have added four new quests related to Georgiy, Sashko, and Olga. The player will meet some new characters but say goodbye to others. Or vice versa. It is all the player's choice. The Red Forest has also been filled with several new events. Who (or what) will be found when exploring this part of the Zone?

Technical improvements

Chernobylite now supports DirectX 12. Players owning compatible graphics cards (especially AMD) can test it and check its influence on the visual performance of the game.

Cooperation with AMD

Thanks to cooperation with AMD, FidelityFX features have also been added to the game. Activating CAS should allow gamers to play at a lower resolution, or lower "resolution scale," while maintaining very high image quality. Players can also improve the quality of the game, with virtually no effect on performance. FidelityFX works on all graphics cards, regardless of manufacturer.

Localization improvements

Finally, A TON of things related to localization and UX have been improved, from the UI to dialogs. Not everything is working perfectly yet, but progress is clearly visible. A system that replaces all missing voice-overs with appropriately processed and customized voice synthesis has been added, and dialogs are now consistently indicated. This should also be an optimal solution for players who do not speak Russian but are using Russian voice-overs for greater immersion. This system can be turned on or off in the Options menu.

Chernobylite is now available for PC through Early Access (Steam and GOG.com).
