There is a storyline about the confrontation of Detective (the protagonist) and Dr. Vice, whose ambitions went beyond the scope of an ordinary scientist and became dangerous. Set in 1930s America, the story is revealed through comic book cutscenes full of dimmed colors and frightening shadows.

Finish this twisted investigation in 7 levels, all available in 3 difficulties, from Easy to Hard. All chapters are set in different locations, each with its own unique touch.

Dodge obstacles, run up walls - all the while picking off your enemies as the pounding music builds. Use your mind and muscle memory to banish evil and find answers.

Slice the henchmen with your sword and mow them down with your gun - but do it rhythmically for points and pleasure. Throwing blades, brass knuckles and a whip will complement your arsenal.

Developer Joy Way announced that Against will be released on Steam in Early Access this winter. 

Since the release of the demo on Steam earlier this year, the game has undergone significant improvements during development. Although the core gameplay remained unchanged, we removed the demo, because it no longer represents the final product.

Joy Way are also launching a new round of closed beta testing. with beta keys going to a limited number of applicants on a random basis.

Multiple types of enemies will try to stop you: hinchmen of Dr. Vice and phantasmagoric creatures from the seamy side. At the end of each chapter, defeat deadly bosses in sync with a musical climax.

Developer Joy Way will share more details about what content to expect after the release, including a map editor, so anyone wishing to create their own levels, will be able to do so.  

Against will be available for PC (Steam) and support a variety of VR headsets (Oculus Quest 1/2 + Link, Oculus Quest 1/2 + Virtual Desktop, Oculus Rift, Valve Index, HTC Vive, HTC Vive Pro).
