In Rainbow Six Extraction, assemble your team of Operators to face an always-evolving alien threat. Keep one goal in mind, make sure no one is left behind.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Extraction is being developed by an entirely new team at Ubisoft Montreal, who were inspired by the long-standing brand legacy of tactical co-op shooters and the varied cast of operators from Rainbow Six Siege, to develop something that is truly more than the sum of its parts.

The Rainbow operators face off against a totally new breed of mutated alien parasite. Infecting human hosts and their surroundings, this new enemy is more lethal and challenging than ever before.

Prepare to launch into tense, chaotic and totally unpredictable missions as you and your squad risk everything every time you step into Quarantine.

Formerly titled Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Quarantine, Rainbow Six Extraction is being led by a seasoned team of veterans at Ubisoft Montreal. Rainbow Six Extraction is a brand new tactical co-op PvE experience bringing operators together to fight against a mysterious threat.

Three years ago, in the quaint town of Truth and Consequences, a meteor crashed down on a New Mexico community, releasing an unknown parasite. A handful of operators from Rainbow Six Siege seemingly contained the initial outbreak – until the Chimera parasite reappeared in multiple sites across the U.S., deadlier than ever. To take on this threat, the Rainbow Exogenous Analysis & Containment Team (REACT), a highly specialized and outfitted organization was formed by Eliza “Ash” Cohen, Dr. Elena “Mira” Álvarez, and Jordan “Thermite” Trace.

Ubisoft revealed that a sizeable amount of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction’s post-launch content will be completely free and feature an evolving endgame available at launch worldwide on January 20, 2022.

Risk it all in Maelstrom Protocol, a thrilling weekly challenge mode with tiered ranks, built for the most skilled Rainbow Six players. Players must navigate a series of nine subzones with increasing difficulty, tougher enemies, quickly depleting resources, and allotted time getting shorter at each stage. At each checkpoint, squads must choose to either extract to bank their points or attempt to push to the end. Earning points will secure a place for challengers in up to four classes, from Bronze to Silver to Gold, Platinum and even Diamond Class, each rewarding players with special headgear and REACT Credits.

Rainbow Six Extraction will feature a variety of other exciting challenges, including Crisis Events and Assignments. Crisis Events are limited-time, game-changing events with themed content,  introducing a new Operator to your roster or a new dangerous Protean enemy to defeat. In the first Crisis Event, Spillover, players must wipe out mass colonies of an evolved version of the Sprawl as hordes of Archæans attempt to stop them. These events will reward exclusive REACT Tech, new cosmetics, and new lore.

Assignments are weekly modes with gameplay modifiers that put players’ skills to the test. For example, Veteran Mode involves no HUD, limited ammo, and friendly fire enabled. At launch, players can tackle both Maelstrom Protocol and weekly Assignments, with Crisis Events becoming available soon after.

In Extraction, players will join the REACT Team and assemble a one to three-player squad of well-known and beloved operators from Rainbow Six Siege to confront mysterious alien creatures known as the Archæans. After completing each objective, players must make a difficult choice: extract and collect their rewards or push deeper to face tougher enemies and earn greater rewards in a chaotic and intense experience. This gamble could mean temporarily losing one of their operators who are caught Missing in Action (MIA) within the containment zone. To recover an MIA operator, players must squad up and risk it all in a rescue mission.

Choose from 18 Rainbow Six operators, each equipped with specialized REACT gear, weapons, gadgets, and abilities to learn and master, lending to highly replayable and immersive gameplay. The uniqueness and different playstyle of each operator allows for limitless options in customizing a roster; striking the right balance on each REACT squad will be the key to success. Deploying into unpredictable containment zones with strategic loadouts will be integral to gathering the intel needed to stop the alien threat.

Set in four regions across the U.S., containment zones are aggressively dominated by the parasite, creating an evolving and unstable ecosystem within their walls. With a selection of 12 uniquely designed maps featuring plenty of challenges, infestations, and enemies who increase in difficulty, the dangers are constantly evolving. The deeper players go into each map, the richer the rewards, but greater the risks their squad will face.

Players who play both Rainbow Six Siege and Rainbow Six Extraction will instantly unlock Extraction’s entire roster of 18 operators in Rainbow Six Siege and will receive the elite United Front cosmetic bundles in both games, a value of approximately $40. The Standard Edition and Deluxe Edition of Rainbow Six Extraction are available for pre-order now. Players who pre-order Rainbow Six Extraction will receive the Orbital Decay bundle with exclusive Epic items including the Orion uniform and headgear for Finka and Lion, the universal Vaporized weapon skin and the Crashlander charm. Rainbow Six Extraction will also include live service support with regular content updates.

The Standard Edition of Rainbow Six Extraction is available to pre-order for the new low price of $39.99, which includes free post-launch content, Buddy Pass tokens, a deep operator progression system, four adjustable difficulty levels, 13 dynamic mission objectives, over 60 weapons, legacy Rainbow Six Siege tech, 15 exclusive REACT tech, and Maelstrom Protocol, a weekly challenge mode.

Each edition of Extraction will unlock two Buddy Pass tokens, allowing players to invite their friends to play with them for up to 14 days across all platforms. Any progression their squad members earn will transfer over when they purchase the full game. All pre-orders will also unlock the Orbital Decay Cosmetic Bundle in Extraction. The Deluxe Edition, which includes everything from the Standard Edition alongside three bonus packs, is also available to pre-order for $49.99.

Everyone who plays both Rainbow Six Siege and Rainbow Six Extraction will receive the United Front bundle, which contains four exclusive gearsets, split between both games, and will instantly unlock Extraction’s entire roster of 18 operators in Siege.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Extraction is coming to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, Amazon Luna, Google Stadia, and PC (Ubisoft Store and the Epic Games Store) as well as Ubisoft+ on January 20, 2022 at $39.99
