'Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Tempestfall' Shows Off Gameplay, Accepting Closed Beta Sign-ups - Trailer

by Rainier on June 3, 2021 @ 10:10 a.m. PDT

Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Tempestfall is a VR-only Warhammer action/adventure RPG game.

Descend in thunderous Tempestfall and deliver justice in the name of Sigmar. Walk the realm of death and lead your brethren to utter victory in this VR-exclusive Warhammer Age of Sigmar game.

Set in the Age of Sigmar universe, Tempestfall begins following the Necroquake. From the domain of Nagash and across all the Realms, Nighthaunt forces are rising. A specially assembled retinue of Stormcast Eternals embarks on a quest to investigate a new threat to the Mortal Realms. Become a mighty Lord-Arcanum, wielder of storm magic, and lead a Stormcast Eternal task force to recover your brethren’s lost souls. Side by side with these elite soldiers, you must explore the dread-filled realm of Shyish and battle your way through the Nighthaunt using a variety of melee weapons, powerful staves, and motion-based abilities and magic in a quest to protect the Forces of Order from a sinister plot.

The combat system incorporates both challenging melee combat and immersive gesture-based spellcasting using the iconic weapons of a Lord-Arcanum. As you traverse across the treacherous Realm of Death, you will need to retrieve pieces of living metal called Sigmarite, along with forgotten technology schematics. They are vital in the process of enhancing your weapons’ combat abilities, and necessary if you are to survive the terrifying and visceral attacks of your Nighthaunt foes.

We are the Stormcast Eternals. We are Sigmar’s wrath manifest. In His name, we wage war.

From cities to catacombs, swamps to prisons, the farther into the world of Tempestfall  you go, the more dangerous it becomes, and you must rise to meet the challenges. But tread carefully - the Realm of Shyish is rife with wraiths and revenants, and death always lurks near.
