'Nobody Saves The World' Delayed Until Early 2022, Adds Co-op Multiplayer - Screens & Trailer

by Rainier on Aug. 25, 2021 @ 7:09 p.m. PDT

Nobody Saves The World is a new twist on Action RPGs, in which you play many different character classes (aka “Forms”), each with their own unique gameplay mechanics.

As Nobody (yes, you play as a character named Nobody), you find a powerful magic wand which allows you to swap into different Forms to clear dungeons, solve puzzles, and complete quests (we did tell you it was an RPG).

Complete Quests to discover and then swap between varied and distinct Forms. Mix and match abilities in unique and interesting ways to find and complete even more difficult Quests, and unlock more powerful Forms. Explore a vast overworld, clearing procedurally generated dungeons in an effort to beat back The Calamity and Save the World!

Nobody Saves the World also features an original soundtrack by acclaimed Sword and Sworcery composer Jim Guthrie.

During the gamescom: Opening Night Live Pre-Show, Drinkbox Studios revealed that Nobody Saves The World will include online co-op multiplayer when it launches in Q1 of 2022.

Today’s new look at Nobody Saves The World will mark Drinkbox Studios’ first ever online multiplayer title, a feature that will create exciting and chaotic moments for players as they switch and customize forms with friends. Nobody Saves The World's new trailer also showcased a sneak peek at how players will be able to customize their forms to create powerful and distinct character classes.

“Co-op in Nobody Saves the World takes the already-vast possibilities for strategy and customization, and blows them wide open,” said Ian Campbell, Lead Designer at Drinkbox Studios. “Even nearing the end of development, we’re still finding ridiculous new ways to combine the powers of two players, and we can’t wait to see what combos you discover when you try it for yourself.”

Key Features:

  • Transform into MANY FORMS: Unlock 15+ distinct Forms, from Rat to Rogue to Robot, each with its own unique gameplay mechanics.
  • Mix & Match ABILITIES: Combine over 80 Form abilities to create powerful customized builds. Play as an Egg that can leave a trail of slime and shoot fireballs!!! We can't stop you!
  • Unconventional QUESTS: Help the strange inhabitants of this world deal with their troubles. Each Form also has its own set of quests, which you can complete in creative ways.
  • Online Co-op: Invite a friend to play through all, or part, of your adventure together.
  • Awesome Soundtrack: New original music by acclaimed composer Jim Guthrie.

Nobody Saves the World is coming to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC (Windows Store and Steam) in Q1 2022, and will be available on launch day to Xbox and PC Game Pass subscribers.
