by Rainier on Jan. 27, 2022 @ 9:08 a.m. PST

Orbital Bullet is a fast paced 360° action-platformer with rogue-lite elements, where all actions take place in a circular pattern.

Delivering fluid, fast-paced gameplay and procedurally generated enemies and levels, now more than ever is the perfect time to check out this critically acclaimed 360° experience.

Bring out the big guns and show the Dread Corporation that you won’t just fall in line - you’ll go out guns blazing.

Fight your way through a variety of procedural planets and use body modifications, crafting and heavy weaponry.

Kill. Die. Modify.

Orbital Bullet will exit its Early Access phase, debuting its full Steam launch on March 21st, 2022.

That’s not all the news we have to share, though. In preparation for its launch, Smokestab has released a new content-packed update. Titled “Upcycling”, this DLC showcases Planet Scrapyard, a fresh n’ fun desert biome. But don’t be fooled, this expansion is anything but barren. Along with a new environment to traverse through, this latest content drop includes dazzling hand-painted pixel art cutscenes for each boss, additional skill tree branches, and a new Decorating System. Included in the update are three new electrophonic soundtracks from Niilo Takalainen, known for their work on award-winning dungeon crawler Noita.

Key Features of the Upcycling Update:

  • A Whole New World: Scrapyard, as its name suggests, is a desert biome filled with discarded cyborgs, robots, and you guessed it…scrap. Exploited by the Dread Corporation's greed, the planet is now a scorched wasteland where unbridled peril awaits.
  • New Enemies on the Horizon: Blast and burn your way through a barrage of new enemy encounters, including the Desert Crawler, the Dread Corp Flamethrower Unit, Spike Tires, and more
  • Setting the Stage: Five unique, hand-painted cutscenes have been added on the first kill of each boss, giving more story context
  • A Growing Skill Tree: Recent branches have sprouted, including Shop Rerolls, Extended Merchant Supply, and Lucky One

Orbital Bullet is now available through Steam Early Access for £10.29 / €12.99.

On theme with the game’s diverse biome-based environments, Assemble Entertainment has teamed up with Ocean Cleanup — a non-profit foundation leading the world’s largest coordinated ocean cleanup effort — to offer a special Save The World Edition on Steam for £18.99 /€ 22.00 , which includes the official game soundtrack and a 10% donation to the cause.

Key Features:

  • 360° Combat: Shoot around the world! Make the most satisfying long-range curved snipes you have ever done or blast and shred enemies with a load of your hyper shotgun.
  • Automatic Transitions: You cleared all enemies on the floor? Get automatically launched straight back into the action and keep shooting enemies.
  • Dynamic skill tree: Build your own skill tree, make clever decisions to empower skills and reach new power spikes while the tree changes every time you play.
  • Mixed worlds: Handcrafted and challenge-oriented levels that have underlying procedural system to guarantee a good experience while also creating a lot of variety and secrets for you to discover.

Orbital Bullet is coming to PC (Steam) in March 21, 2022.
