Publisher Team17 announced its partnership with UK-based developer Absolutely Games to bring a brand-new strategy title to PC and consoles.

Formed in late-2019, Absolutely Games – a studio of 27 developers led by industry veterans James Brooksby (CEO) and Adrian Hawkins (CTO) – will be teaming up with Team17 to bring its first title, an unannounced ‘historical strategy experience’, and original IP, to PC and consoles.

“Team17 is thrilled to be working with Absolutely Games on their upcoming historical strategy title. We are always looking to establish new relationships with exciting and creative studios here in the UK – like Absolutely Games – and around the world, and we look forward to helping the team deliver their unique strategy experience to gamers. While the title is the studio’s debut, the team are games development veterans, bringing with them strong vision and engaging depth to their work. We can’t wait to share more information about their eye-catching title soon,” said Team17 Digital Head of Studios Roger Carpenter.

“We are very happy to be working with Team17 on our company's first game and it is great to be partnering with a highly skilled and enthusiastic team who share our strong belief in what we are looking to bring to life,” commented Absolutely Games CEO James Brooksby.

“It is very exciting to be working with a publishing partner who shares our values, holds a common vision for the game, and believes in extensive community engagement both before and after a game ships. We look forward to a long and fruitful relationship working with Team17,” added Absolutely Games CTO Adrian Hawkins.
