'Hello Neighbor 2' Also Comes to PS4 And PS5, Pre-Order To Get Beta Access - Trailer

by Rainier on Feb. 10, 2022 @ 4:35 p.m. PST

Hello Neighbor 2 is a stealth horror game featuring open-world gameplay and self-learning AI.

Taking place directly after the events of the original, players will explore the open world of Raven Brooks and search for the missing Mr. Peterson (the Neighbor). Every one of its colourful townsfolk is driven by a powerful shared neural network AI, capable of learning from their encounters not just with you, but all players worldwide. With the townsfolk getting wise to your tricks, be prepared to adapt and improvise. It's going to take more than just journalistic instincts to crack this case. Stealth, evasion and no shortage of puzzling lays ahead. Just try not to end up on the growing list of missing persons yourself.

Play as Quentin, a local reporter investigating why people have started to mysteriously disappear in Raven Brooks. A string of discoveries will lead you to an abandoned house occupied by a mysterious, raven-like being.

Explore the abandoned house from the original game, while being stalked by an AI, and see the gameplay expand into the open world of Raven Brooks, a sandbox playground where you need to scavenge for useful items while trying to not get caught by the inventive AI.

Unlike the original, where the AI navigated by manually placed waypoints, Hello Neighbor 2 features an AI where navigation patterns are fully dynamic. The mysterious creature will observe the player's movements and actions and will use that knowledge to prevent players from figuring out the secrets lying within the house and its surroundings.

With an expanded world comes an expanded roster of all-new characters to meet, surveil, and escape from. What secrets could The Baker be hiding in those croissants? Is there something shady about the Taxidermist? And what is The Mayor up to that would warrant getting an attack dog to keep safe. Wait…there are dogs in Hello Neighbor now?!

"As we get closer to our Pre-Order and Beta launch we think it’s high time for a new platform announcement! You asked and we answered, & we are happy to announce that Hello Neighbor 2 will be coming to PS4 & PS5 on launch!

But wait, there's more! All PlayStation players will be eligible to participate in the upcoming Beta with their pre-order! "

Get your hands on the exclusive closed Beta for Hello Neighbor 2 with pre-orders starting April 7, 2022!

In the Hello Neighbor 2 Beta, players will have access to a good part of Raven Brooks, packed with equal measures of mystery and menace. Get ready to meet the locals, discover their daily routines, and then formulate a plan to find out what they're keeping behind locked doors. Mystery, horror, stealth and action are always just next-door in this neighborhood.

Be prepared to adapt and improvise. It’s going to take more than just your journalistic instincts to crack this case. You’ll need to sneak, snoop, spy, and stalk your way across every corner of the town in order to shed some light on the mystery of just what is going on in Raven Brooks. Can you uncover the dark secrets of the town, its residents, and of The Neighbor himself? Or will you be the one going missing next?

The development of Hello Neighbor 2 started before the release of the Secret Neighbor multiplayer spin-off and the brand-new story fits into the bigger Hello Neighbor cross-media universe, which features a best-selling books series, animated TV show pilot, comic book series, and an upcoming board game.

Hello Neighbor 2 is coming to the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC (Steam) in 2022.
