Now featuring a twist on traditional puzzle gameplay, Puzzle Quest 3 offers an intense 1-versus-1 battle system realized in a 3D game world., including timed back-to-back 8-directional gem matching to help build mana and cast spells on enemies, opening up new strategic possibilities with every battle.

The game takes place 500 years after the original Puzzle Quest, in the familiar lands of Etheria where heroes are called to save the realm from a new evil threatening all of dragon kind. 

Puzzle Quest 3 features an all-new adventure to become the ultimate hero, battling and building a legacy in thrilling head-to-head combat. The game includes an immersive battle system where players unleash torturous spells and paralyzing attacks through the power of gem-crushing in an enhanced turn-based system.

Puzzle Quest 3 once again pushes the genre limits by introducing new and imaginative gameplay mechanics.

505 Games announced that Puzzle Quest 3 will launch on March 1, 2022 on Steam, App Store and Google Play Stores worldwide.

“Throughout Early Access, we'll introduce free updates with new features, new heroes, and more modes optimized for the PC experience. We'll also be tuning the experience based on player feedback, especially in areas like puzzle combat, controller support, and more.

“Puzzle Quest 3 is launching on Early Access as a free-to-play title with the story fully playable from start to finish across five different classes. The game is rich with various features ready to be played - including PVP, real-time coop, and upcoming live events."

“We intend to give the game the time it needs on PC Early Access to optimize the experience on PC, which we estimate could be released within a year depending on feedback. Updates on the game's progress will be shared via our community channels as Early Access progresses.”

The newly released gameplay trailer showcases five hero classes launching this March. Players can choose to play as a Paladin, Berzerker, Shaman, Necromancer or Assassin to unleash powerful spells and defeat enemies in puzzle battles across the world of Etheria. The game recalls its popular deep RPG mechanics and fantasy-based storylines that made the original a standout hit, with plans to continue introducing new classes and game content over time.

Starting today, players can join the countdown to launch by visiting the game's official website to participate in the pre-registration campaign and learn how to unlock free rewards at launch.

Reward milestones are based on completing “quests” such as wishlisting on Steam, pre-registering on Google Play, signing up for the newsletter or following PQ3 on social media (Facebook and Twitter @puzzlequest3).  With each milestone completed, all players will receive greater in-game rewards to help kick start their journey into Etheria, from valuable resources like gems and gold, to powerful gear like the Dragonguard Ring.

Puzzle Quest 3 will be a free-to-play (F2P), coming to Android, iOS and PC (Steam) on March 1, 2022, with additional platforms to be announced.
