'Call of Duty: Vanguard' Will Be Adding Legendary Rapper Snoop Dogg As Playable Character Next Month

by Rainier on March 21, 2022 @ 10:41 a.m. PDT

Players turn the tides of war to experience World War II like never before in Call of Duty: Vanguard.

Vanguard delivers the complete package to Call of Duty fans across Campaign, online Multiplayer and Zombies co-operative modes. Players will witness the origins of Special Forces as they change the face of history, forming Task Force One in a sprawling World War II narrative campaign spanning the Eastern and Western fronts of Europe, the Pacific, and North Africa. Multiplayer features 20 maps on day one at launch. While Zombies fans will experience a signature undead gameplay experience, marking a franchise-first Zombies crossover for Call of Duty.

Later this year, Vanguard players will be immersed in a fully integrated, new Call of Duty: Warzone experience featuring a brand-new map, new gameplay and new experiences. Together, this is the most connected Call of Duty ever, all powered by the next-generation Call of Duty engine introduced in Modern Warfare.

It's time to rise on every front.

This April, a new Operator is coming to three Call of Duty games – Call of Duty: Mobile, Vanguard and Warzone. And if you don’t know, you better ask somebody… You really better ask somebody.

Lucky for you, the man himself can tell you all about it:

"The D O Double G is back in Call of Duty and this time I’m in the freakin’ game! Excited to be working with the COD team to bring some fly features for you all to enjoy. It’s dope….. y’all can play as me and get these sick items that have Snoop written all over them. Check it out.”

The first opportunity to play as Snoop Dogg will be in Season 3 of Call of Duty: Mobile through a special Lucky Draw beginning on April 1.

This Lucky Draw will include a Snoop Dogg Operator for Call of Duty: Mobile, which has him decked out head-to-toe in a 24K gold embroidered outfit. It also includes a new signature weapon based on a fast-firing Legendary SMG that’s gold-plated and diamond-encrusted. Light up your enemies under the lights of a mini-concert with this weapon’s unique death effect, and see your iced out weapon get even flashier as you earn eliminations.

More details about Season 3 and this draw will be available later this week.

Meanwhile, over in Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone, the Snoop Dogg Operator Bundle will be available on April 19 at 10 AM PT. And just so we’re clear on high-level details: the Snoop Dogg in Vanguard and Warzone is separate from the Snoop Dogg in Call of Duty: Mobile.

The Warzone and Vanguard Snoop Dogg Operator Bundle will include ten items — three exclusive to Vanguard — and a full Operator progression track. Rewards across these 20 levels of Operator progression include Weapon XP for Snoop’s preferred weapon from Vanguard, three alternate outfits, and other cosmetic items.

This won’t be the first time Snoop Dogg dropped into Call of Duty, as fans will remember his Snoop Dogg Voiceover Pack in Call of Duty®: Ghosts. Snoop’s voice — with all new lines recorded for his very own Operator — returns to Call of Duty in the Snoop Dogg Operator Bundle for Vanguard and Warzone.

The best packs are kept sealed until they can smoke out the whole lobby — rather than keep it stale, we will share the full details on that Operator Bundle’s items before they drop on April 19.

Heed the call.

Post launch, Vanguard together with Warzone will offer a massive calendar of free post-launch content featuring new maps, modes, playlists, limited time events and seasonal events, as well as community celebrations and more.

The Battle Pass system also returns, allowing you to unlock post-launch content with unified progression across both Call of Duty: Vanguard and Call of Duty: Warzone. As always, you can unlock items like base weapons, customization items, and more, simply by playing the game.

Call of Duty: Vanguard is available for PS5, PS4, XboxSeries X|S ,Xbox One, and PC via Battle.net.
