'Let's Build A Zoo' Dinosaur Island DLC Planned For Later This Month - Screens & Trailer

by Rainier on May 6, 2022 @ 12:00 a.m. PDT

Let's Build A Zoo is a zoo management sim with over 300,000 animal types to breed and bond with.

Let's Build A Zoo puts you in charge of your own animal sanctuary, where you can build beautiful enclosures and fill them with a whole host of different animals. It's your choice whether to be an eager beaver with grand designs, or let it all descend into otter chaos.

Let's Build A Zoo truly lets you go wild, with hundreds of animals to breed and import, tons of buildings, foliage, decorations and path types to spruce up your monkey business, and plenty of staff options for keeping your animals happy, and your guests entertained.

And if that's not enough to seal the deal, Let's Build A Zoo has an even greater wild side. Utilizing futuristic DNA splicing mechanics, this zoo sim lets you go bananas and splice together any two animals, with over 300,000 combinations possible. Ever wondered what a Crocoduck, or an Owlybara might look like? Now you can find out!

It's not all cheerful panda-ing though, as Let's Build A Zoo can get pretty dark if you let it. Sure, you can build a loving environment for your animals, guests and staff... but with a fully-fledged morality system, you have the choice to go down an evil path, work your staff to the bone, and essentially turn your zoo into a meat factory. Oh deer, oh deer.

Publisher No More Robots and developer Springloaded Games announced that Dinosaur Island, the first major downloadable content for their popular zoo management sim Let's Build a Zoo, is coming to Steamand the Epic Store on May 23rd for $9.99 / £7.19 / 8,19€.

Now Dinosaur Island brings an evolved, new way to play that's a little bit rawrsome.

Your team has developed technology for cloning dinosaurs from fossils, and has built a special park on a remote island for housing your creations... and charging the public to come and check them out.

With over 50 new creatures to resurrect, display and look after, they'll each make your heart saur with how cute yet terrifying they can be. And the content gets even meteor from there, with a whole new campaign to play through, new enclosure types, a new research tree to unlock, and tons of new shops and decorations.

From rocky paths and active volcanos, to giant trees and dino-egg food shops, there are plenty of ways to make your dinosaur kingdom look absolutely dino-mite... or you can simply focus on churning through your customers, and leaving the park looking a bit of an eye-saur.

In Let's Build a Zoo, you could splice any two animals together to create over 300,000 new crazy creatures. With this injection of dinosaurs, players will now be able to visit Sandbox Mode and merge the original critters with their jurassic buddies, leading to over 10 million different animal variants. The world's first capysaurus or donkey-ceratops, anyone?

So don't be a lazy bones, and make sure you find a way to your online dino-store of choice to check out all the details on Dinosaur Island.

Let's Build a Zoo is simple enough on the surface that you can play as casually as you'd like, building a fancy zoo and keeping your guests happy. But for those players who like a deeper simulation, there are numerous underlying systems that can be utilized and explored.

Want to focus on conservation? Saving the planet? Farming? Going green? Going vegan? Stopping animals from going extinct? How about a focus on breeding every possible genome? Or perhaps you just want to keep the local transport system fully funded? There's so many different directions your zoo can take, and Let's Build a Zoo gives you the tools to pursue your specific goals.

Add to that hundreds of buildings, foliage, decorations, staff, guests and path types, and there are plenty of ways to really put your mark on your zoo.

Key Features:

  • Build your own zoo with over 500 different animals at your disposal, then splice together over 300,000 different animal combinations
