Players will embark on an epic journey to restore order as Cursa, a mysterious and malevolent entity, twists the planets with its evil influence.

Mixing turn-based tactics and real time action, Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope’s innovative combat system will have players use their Heroes to dash at enemies, team jump on allies, hide behind covers, or take advantage of their special abilities in order to get the most out of every turn.  With its innovative gameplay, Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope will be a fun tactical adventure for new players and experts of the genre alike.

Determined to consume all the energy in the galaxy, Cursa and its minions are hunting the Sparks, uncanny creatures formed by the fusion of Lumas & Rabbids, and will destroy all who stand in its way. Players will have to locate and save the Sparks to have them join the adventure, opening up new tactical possibilities to help Heroes get the upper hand in battles. In addition to leveling up and customizing their Heroes, players will have the opportunity to pair them with Sparks to unlock additional abilities! They all have a distinct power and personality, ranging from energy shields to powerful elemental attacks.

In this new gameplay video, Mario and his friends fight to save the vibrant planet Terra Flora from the mysterious villain, Cursa. To do so, they will take down mischievous Rabbid enemies and face off in a boss battle against a massive Wiggler, who is enraged and infected by Cursa's dark influence. The new gameplay also showcases the wild possibilities that the Sparks can provide during combat by lending Heroes their elemental powers, as well as many of the different moves, combos, and actions players have at their disposal.

Ubisoft revealed that post-launch it plans to release 3 DLCs with the final one including a new special playable hero (hinting at Rayman).

The DLC featuring Rayman will be available for standalone purchase or as part of the Season Pass, which is included in the Gold Edition.

Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope builds on the fantasy of the publicly and critically acclaimed game Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle to offer a new gameplay experience and an epic journey through an endangered galaxy.

Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope will be available worldwide for Nintendo Switch on October 20, 2022.
