'Teardown' Will Take You To The Old West With Premium Time Campers DLC Next Week - Trailer

by Rainier on Nov. 8, 2023 @ 12:03 p.m. PST

Teardown is a voxel-based destruction game that challenges players to think creatively and strategically to smash their way into buildings to pull off the perfect heist.

Teardown is a voxel based adventure that lets players live out their destructive fantasies with sledgehammers, vehicles, explosives, and more. As the struggling owner of a demolition company, what starts out as some harmless (well, mostly) jobs soon evolves into a more risky proposition. Take on heist jobs that require planning and problem solving. Blow up safes, steal cars, and ransack buildings to meet your goals. Be resourceful and inventive to puzzle your way through each level–there’s no one set solution!

Teardown features 100% fully destructible and interactive environments. Move, manipulate, or outright smash obstacles to create paths, find shortcuts, and finish each job. Teardown’s physics-based gameplay means strategy and creativity are required to avoid sticky situations. From traversing tropical islands to working around a raging tornado, Teardown has a wide variety of levels for players to explore and stretch the limits of their imagination.

In addition to the base campaign, Teardown has a robust modding community that encourages players to let their creativity run wild and make the game their own. Create unique characters and structures and obliterate them into nothingness within moments! Just out for a bit of stress relief? Teardown has a dedicated sandbox mode where players can smash and demolish to their heart's content.

Ready to get in on the destruction?

Saddle up, partner! Tuxedo Labs and Saber Interactive are excited to take Teardown back in time with the “Time Campers” campaign expansion DLC, coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam on Nov. 15, 2023.

The heist game’s first premium DLC introduces new missions, maps, tools, horses, and more. “Time Campers” will be available as part of Teardown’s new Season Pass for €29.99/£24.99, or as a standalone purchase for €7.99/£6.69.

“Time Campers” puts Teardown players in the seats of a time-traveling camper van destined for the old times of the Wild West. When the camper breaks down, you’ll need to use creative problem-solving to find and pilfer old-timey materials in an attempt to get the time machine back into working order. The standalone campaign introduces a new storyline and character, a suite of period-appropriate tools, and two new maps: an old mining town with a gunpowder factory, as well as a map featuring a train station, sheriff's office and ravine.

The “Time Campers” DLC is just the first of four new content packs coming before the end of 2024. The next DLC, “Folkrace,” is scheduled to come out in the spring, officially bringing destructive racing to the game with new modes, racetracks, and vehicles. Players can get the first two DLC packs by picking up the Deluxe Edition of Teardown, or all four packs by purchasing the game’s Season Pass or the Ultimate Edition of Teardown.

Teardown has also revealed its future DLC roadmap for both PC and consoles. Players will be able to expand their experience even further with four new DLCs, available as part of the game’s Ultimate Edition for $49.99, the Season Pass for $29.99, or individually for $7.99 each. This new content will include the following:

  • The “Folkrace” DLC, releasing in spring 2024, features a series of destructive racing game modes, three racetracks, and a fleet of new vehicles.
  • Two additional unnamed DLCs, coming by the end of 2024.
