In Passpartout 2: The Lost Artist, you draw and sell your slapdash masterpieces as you explore the handmade puppet world and its endearing cast of characters.

Your name, Passpartout, was on everyone's lips in Paris until the incident. Some time after your mysterious disappearance the interest eventually faded, though some still wonder what happened. You wake up another day in your seaside retreat, a safe refuge from the art world that once burnt you. But this isn't just another day. Your landlord has finally had enough with your bouncing checks and puts you on the street! You must again pick up your brush and reclaim your lost glory by taking a place in the draconian curator's Museum of the Masters, or be forever remembered as a failed artist!

Break free from the confinements of the studio and explore the endearing puppet town of Phénix. Draw and sell art on the go using your handy foldable easel. Get to know the residents and what makes them tick. Help them out with commissions, like drawing a new logo for Steve's café or a mural for the school! Or why not buy a studio so you can work from home, just like the good old days?

Use your hard-earned cash to treat yourself in the art supplies store. Maybe one of the many new tools will tickle your fancy? The crayon they just got in stock looks pretty sweet! Or perhaps that limited edition of a banana-shaped canvas? You as an artist needs every edge you can get to stand out! The residents of Phénix may also possess some cool items they could part with, if you help them out of course.

Key Features:

  • Draw and sell masterpieces on the go or at your studio
  • Explore a beautiful puppet world
  • Do commissions for the townsfolk, they'll entrust you with drawing their new café logo, restoring ancient art and more!
  • Get to know more characters with more personality that is as opinionated as ever about your art
  • Collect many playful tools as you progress through the game so you can put your personal touch on your masterpieces

The original game, Passpartout: The Starving Artist was developed on a shoestring budget by a crew of university students from the University of Skövde. After their studies, the crew started Flamebait Games during their time at Science Park Skövde Startup Program.

They have since developed and published two additional titles before returning to making the sequel, determined to make it bigger, better and more beautiful. "With this game, we want to inspire people to create" says Mattias Lindblad, CEO of Flamebait Games.

Passpartout 2: The Lost Artist is coming to PC (Steam) on April 4, 2023.
