'Escape Simulator' Content Roadmap Revealed, Comes To Steam VR This Summer - Trailer

by Rainier on June 7, 2023 @ 6:00 a.m. PDT

Escape Simulator is a first-person escape room puzzler, playable solo or in co-op, where you explore a growing set of highly interactive escape rooms.

Playing solo or via online co-op, players must puzzle their way through a quirky collection of interactive escape rooms, putting their wits (and teamwork) to the test!

Think you have what it takes to escape? Face ingenuous locks in ancient Egypt. Hack the system in an adrift space shuttle. Decipher mysterious notes in the oddball Victorian library of Edgewood Mansion. Play online with pals for double the fun. Or brave the mysteries alone, with nothing but your smarts to aid you.

Escape Simulator also launches with an escape room level editor. Steam Workshop integration puts power in the hands of the players, allowing the community to design & share their very own escape rooms and collectively build the ultimate library of challenges to choose from.

Move furniture, pick up and examine everything, smash pots and break locks!

Experience Escape Simulator like never before in VR!

The VR version of Escape Simulator has been much requested by fans of the co-op puzzle game. Today, Pine Studio released a roadmap showcasing the future of Escape Simulator, confirming that escapees can puzzle their way out in VR later this year, among other exciting plans…!

Escape Simulator is a first-person co-op escape room puzzler you can play by yourself or together with others. Since its release in October 2022, nearly 2 million puzzle and escape room fans from all over the world have played the puzzle game. Players have been asking for a VR version ever since the game’s original release, and now developer Pine Studio has published a roadmap confirming just that. Escape Simulator is coming to VR later this year!

The base game and all the additional free rooms, such as Leonardo’s Workshop, as well as the previously released DLC’s Steampunk and Wild West, will be playable in VR. And what’s more - the community rooms will also be included in the VR version of Escape Simulator. This means that players will be able to enjoy the more than 3.000 rooms, custom-built by fans of the game.

The plans for Escape Simulator VR are part of Pine Studio’s roadmap that was published today, which showcases additional future plans that the developer has for the co-op game. This roadmap includes more content, such as two new free rooms and another free update that will be released this summer.

As the roadmap shows, that’s not all the developers have planned for Escape Simulator. Players can expect something big later this year, and Pine Studio can also share that they have joined hands with various well-known gaming brands to bring forth new, exciting Escape Rooms for players. The first of these will be released in September this year. More information about these projects will be released soon.

Key Features:

  • Solve puzzles: Face15 interactive escape rooms, spread across three weird and wonderful location-packs: "Labyrinth of Egypt", "Adrift in Space" & "Edgewood Mansion".

Currently available as flat screen version for PC (Steam), Escape Simulator VR is coming to PC (Steam VR) later this summer.
