Well, the year is 2700. Climate change and wars have changed the face of the world that we currently know. Humans live scattered throughout the desert, struggling to survive.
A young scavenger girl named Max stumbles across an old Guardian robot, lying abandoned in the sand. She activates him, knowing that possession of a Guardian will give her an advantage at surviving.
Turning on the old Guardian kicks off a dangerous journey that will take the unlikely pair from dangerous canyons to vast cities searching for answers to mysteries that may save humankind.
It will be difficult. Badbots and their bosses will stop at nothing to protect the secrets that could decide the fate of humankind.
Jump into the steel shoes of a high-powered, hyper-mobile robot and fight like you’ve never fought before.

"Starbreeze is not only a publisher to us, they are the publisher. Roboquest has become a successful title since its Early Access launch, so we were particular in finding a partner that we felt could amplify that success. With Starbreeze, we found not only professionals who know how to bring our title to a bigger stage, but a team of passionate people who look to grow together with us in the long-term. We know we’re in good hands now.”, says Milen Ivanov, Co-Founder & CEO, RyseUp Studios.
“Out of the hundreds of games that we have reviewed, Roboquest is a standout title. Its combination of nonstop action, tight movement and combat, replayability, and co-op gameplay makes it a perfect fit with our game pillars as well as the types of players we have most experience with. Importantly, RyseUp Studios have proven themselves - in talent, in passion, in continuously listening to their community, and in building a positive and healthy internal culture. We look forward to working with RyseUp to continue the development of Roboquest beyond 1.0 by giving the community more of what they love, and introducing new players to a great game.”, says Gustav Nisser, Head of Third-Party Publishing, Starbreeze Entertainment.
”Our strategy is to find and publish games that are not only great in and of themselves, but that fit with Starbreeze’ game cornerstones and the community that we have built over the past decade. Our strengths as a publisher, combined with a community connected through Starbreeze Nebula will enable us and our published games to reach new audiences and grow our community even wider.”, says Staffan Nyström, VP Publishing, Starbreeze Entertainment.
