Goat Simulator 3 is a direct sequel to Goat Simulator, a silly game that started life as an April Fool’s joke born out of a game jam.
Goat Simulator 3 builds on everything fans of the first game loved, raising the baa to brand new heights (sometimes literally), starting an all-new adventure, once again featuring Pilgor the goat. This time she’s found new pastures on the sprawling sandbox island of San Angora, a place where mysteries and chaos follow wherever you go. Players are free to roam around and discover the island’s secrets or, well, just destroy stuff. This is a Goat Simulator, after all.
Built from the gravel up, this next generation of goat simulation has it all; Goats, goats wearing hats, goats riding a goat wearing a hat. There are also unnatural disasters, secret animal societies, triple jumping and probably any other nonsense you could think up. But truly, what is all this exciting newness without friends to explore it with? In Goat Simulator 3, you can gather as a herd of up to 4 friends to be the goats of your dreams, together. Yes, Goat Simulator 3 has online multiplayer!
Much like the original Goat Simulator, the sequel’s gameplay revolves around exploration, puzzle solving and “accidentally” destroying anything in sight - but this time there is so much more of it all. Blast NPCs with alien weapons, start wacky minigames anywhere in the sandbox (keep reading), become a “rhino” and stampede through town (sentence is soon over), join a secret goat society and help them achieve their goals, (hold that breath) drive a car straight into a gas station (what’s up with goats and gas stations anyway?), and so much more! The world truly is your oyster* (puh, you made it!).
But everyone knows you can’t destroy the world if you don’t look good. In Goat Simulator 3, there are so many fashionable items to get your hooves on. If you want to roam around wearing a pink tutu, a giant blonde wig and with paint tins for shoes, who are we to stop you? It differentiates you from that one friend who’s dressed like a medieval knight shooting lasers from their eyes, and the other that’s cosplaying a giant abominable banana (aka Abominana), after all.
Coffee Stain Publishing and Coffee Stain North are excited to announce Pilgor’s Prototypes – a community competition challenging goat fans old and new to design some stylish new gear for San Angora’s Next Top (Goat) Model.
Starting today, Goat Simulator 3 fans can enter #PilgorsPrototypes on social media to show off their designs for goat gear that they’d love to see in-game. This can be any item – from a dazzling hat, to some shiny hoof boots – or a whole set of gear to give Pilgor a complete look. Designs can be solely decorative to stand out from the herd, or entrants are welcome to give their gear special abilities too – like a working jetpack! (Except not that, because Pilgor already has one of those.)
All up-and-coming farmyard stylists have until September 3rd at 11:59 PM CET to submit their designs, after which the developers at Coffee Stain North will retire to their secret lair to decide upon three winners. The team will then announce this talented trio during their October 4th livestream.
First place will not only have their design added to the game, but will receive their choice of a PS5 or Xbox Series X/S. Two runners-up will also have their Prototypes added to Goat Sim 3! And all three winners will receive a Goat in a Box (our deluxe edition of the game that contains a goat plushie), and a Goat Kit that contains bespoke items to allow you to live out your goaty dreams in real life.
Santiago Ferrero, Creative Director at Coffee Stain North said: “We know the players that love Goat Sim 3, REALLY love Goat Sim 3 (possibly even more than us) so we want to offer a chance to immortalise some of their crazy ideas in the game. The crazier the better! That’s how we design everything, and it’s worked pretty well for us so far. Good luck to everyone who enters, we’re all very excited to see your weird and wonderful creations.”
For the full set of rules for Pilgor’s Prototypes, please head over to the Goat Simulator 3 website. And if you want to participate, please read the legal bit. Our lawyers already have their hands full with goat-fueled collateral damage cases*.
*The Goat Simulator 3 team is not currently embroiled in any real-life collateral damage lawsuits. It would be pretty on-brand if they were though.
Please note that the Pilgor's Prototypes competition is only open to residents of the UK, US and EU.
Key Features:
- GOATS: You play as a goat! Pilgor, to be exact. However, you’ll also have the chance to wear the skins of many other ‘goats’. Tall goats, tasty goats, angry goats - all the goats you expect and more.
- MULTIPLAYER: Your friends play as goats too! Goat Simulator 3 has 4 player co-op, locally or online. You’ll be able to travel through the world together, cause cooperative mischief aplenty, and compete in 7 fun multiplayer mini-games, and then not be friends anymore.
- EXPLORATION: Goat Simulator 3’s giant new sandbox has plenty to discover - hidden secrets, quests, collectables and the devs actually bothered to make an ending this time! Use your own four hooves to get around, grind on your butt or buckle up for the ride of your life as all goats can drive cars*.
- CHAOS AND REACTIVITY: Cause all manner of mayhem as you lick, headbutt, crash and explode your way across the map, leaving no NPC unannoyed. Toy with the universally recognised four elements (Fire, Electricity, Oil and Alien Goo), test the limits of the world’s physics and interact with suspicious objects for… surprising results.
- CUSTOMISATION: Players can fully customise their goat’s Head, Back, Feet, Body, Horns and Furs with over 300 different gear parts to choose from - from toilet rolls to tea trays… and other actual clothing items, if you want to be like that. Some gear parts will mutate your playstyle by giving you new abilities, all will alter your perceived sense of style.
Goat Simulator 3 is available for Xbox Series X|S, PS5 and PC (Epic Games Store).
