Launch yourself across the cityscape to complete missions as fast as possible in Stop Dead, a chaotic, skill-based first-person telekinetic brawler.

A rogue AI is hell-bent on destroying its creators and has swept you up in its plans. Use your superhuman abilities to run, jump, slide, and pull hundreds of objects as projectile weapons to blast everything in your path in this funny and chaotic first-person telekinetic brawler, STOP DEAD.

Launch yourself across the cityscape to complete missions as fast as possible in this chaotic, skill-based first-person telekinetic brawler. Use your superhuman abilities to pull objects and launch them at high speeds to massacre enemies in a frantic bloody romp. But remember to always keep moving; if you stop, you die.

In the future, sprawling cityscapes cover the planet and AI is everywhere. One rogue AI is hell-bent on destroying its creators and has swept you up in its plans. You may be a controlled cog in its machine but you’re one very destructive super-powered cog.

Inspired by Doom, Portal, and Mirror’s Edge, Stop Dead blends speed, action, and carnage into a beautiful comic book-inspired cacophony of chaos and fun.

Stop Dead’s Twitch integrations crank up the crazy with custom commands that allow stream viewers to apply effects onto the streamer and spawn items and enemies into the game. Moreover, streamers can unleash their ghosts to race against other players and prove they moved faster. Viewers can power up in-game enemies and have their chat messages appear above enemy heads as streamers are zipping around the arena. Full HUD customization allows streamers to optimize UI placement, and an accessibility mode allows them to further tailor their experience.

"When we started working on Stop Dead, we didn’t have much other than throwing ragdolls, lots of blood, and chaos. When Rogue asked us to just ‘keep doing that,’ we knew we found the right partner,” says Mike Moore, Creative Overlord at Gridsnap Games. “Rogue has given us nothing but great ideas and support throughout the development of Stop Dead and has helped us turn it into the best game it can be."

“If you think you’ve played everything the FPS genre has to offer, I believe a few minutes with Stop Dead will prove otherwise in glorious fashion,” said Rogue CEO Matt Casamassina. “The extremely talented team at Gridsnap has created an innovative new take on the genre that is as much about movement and flow as it is successfully traversing expansive worlds and using wild physics to thwart enemies and stay alive.”

Key Features:

  • Guns are effective, but why stop there? Cause real chaos by throwing nearly everything in your path. With over 160 unique throwable objects, you’ll find no shortage of things to pull and throw with your telekinetic powers to rampage through levels and destroy everything.
  • Run, jump, and slide across 40 levels and 4 different biomes with vibrant comic-inspired handmade environments. From the rooftop to tunnels, discover plenty of new routes, challenges, and a few hidden secrets.
  • A fully integrated Twitch system takes streaming and global challenges to another level. See the online leaderboard change, then react to those new challenges. Spawn items and enemies directly into a stream you’re watching. Throw your ghost in to race against someone and prove your time was better. Customize the placement of the UI and play with an accessibility mode to fully tailor your experience.
  • This isn’t a casual stroll. Experience lightning-fast, heart-pumping action as you race through new environments with increasingly difficult enemies and challenges. Conquer the many different types of enemies while still trying to get the fastest time. Think quick, use anything you can, and keep moving.

Stop Dead is coming to PC (Steam and the Epic Games Store) on October 5, 2023.
