RedOctane Games, the studio founded last year by music rhythm gaming veterans, hardware innovators and leading creators from the global rhythm gaming community, announced Stage Tour an all-new rhythm music title now in active development.
Delivering a shot of nostalgia to honor the legacy of music games, Stage Tour has been designed to respect the past, while building an evolving experience for the future, designed for a modern gaming audience.
Stage Tour is poised to rekindle the flame of plastic-instrument rhythm gaming with numerous new features and gamemodes, dozens of bandmates and instruments to fit your unique style, a deep competitive spine, and an extensive roadmap of seasonal content and live events.
Stage Tour is not just a game; it’s a long-term platform created in conjunction with the community. Following the classic gaming recipe of easy to play, hard to master, Stage Tour is highly accessible for newcomers, while delivering an ever-evolving challenge for experienced gamers.
Further gameplay details and the first content reveals are due to be announced in the coming months, and the studio is planning for closed Alpha testing beginning summer 2026. An experienced group of community fans from the rhythm gaming community, are currently actively contributing to help shape and optimize the game leading up to release.
A new era starts here!
“Stage Tour is our love letter to rhythm gaming,” said Simon Ebejer, Head of Studio at RedOctane Games. “We want Stage Tour to feel familiar and authentic, but also fresh, utilizing modern technology to connect gamers with the music they love and enjoying a platform that evolves and grows over time. With new instruments and deep charting systems, we’re raising the bar on what we believe a rhythm game can be, while also catering to those wishing to simply enjoy a casual experience and have a good time.”
This partnership brings the Gibson, Epiphone and Kramer brands directly into Stage Tour, adding authenticity that reflects the heritage and character of real rock performance.
“For a generation of players, rhythm games transformed music from something you listened to into something you lived—inspiring countless people to pick up real instruments and explore their creativity,” says Taylor Berryman, Sr. Manager, Lifestyle & Licensing at Gibson. “Stage Tour is the next evolution of that influence. We’re thrilled to partner with RedOctane to reimagine what rhythm gaming can be and to spark deeper connection, creativity, and a lifelong love of music for generations to come."
