FixForce is a chaotic, wacky online co-op for up to six people playing as a robot repair crew. In each round, players build bridges, towers, and ramps out of junk, allowing them to climb around the map, find what needs fixing, and retrieve replacement parts.
Making repairs comes with the constant risk of death from falls, water damage, and run-ins with violent enemy bots. When crew members’ batteries hit zero, their heads will pop off but remain piloted by the player until they are reattached to a body by a teammate. While they await rescue, heads can scoot around and even nudge their bodies into a more convenient location for retrieval.
FixForce, which will be Surgent’s first self-published title, takes place in a vibrant post-post apocalyptic setting that suggests the age of humans is long gone while leaving much of the circumstances to mystery.
Developer Surgent Studios announced that FixForce is now available in Early Access on Steam and the Epic Games Store for $5.99 (USD).
Surgent founder and CEO Abubakar Salim said, “The fact that we made FixForce in five months absolutely blows my mind. It’s already a fully-baked experience with hours’ worth of play, but we’re also taking advantage of the Early Access period to get feedback from players on what works and what doesn’t while we continue to add content and refine the gameplay experience. This is the start of a wild ride.”
The Early Access launch includes:
62 unique props to fix objectives and stack into bridges and towers - many with hidden traits and uses
32 cosmetics options (faces, hats, body materials, and full costume sets)
8 expressive, hilarious, and sometimes functional emotes (like binoculars, which allows you to zoom in on things happening far away)
5 different enemy types (the number of enemies scales with your selected difficulty level)
3 levels, each with layouts that are partly authored and partly randomised for maximum freshness and fun
3 battery variants with different traits and effects (like one inhabited by a digital cat that you must keep alive by interacting to “feed” it)
3 types of odd jobs to do beyond your 2 main fixing objectives per round
FixForce is coming to PC (Steam / Epic Games Store) and Xbox in 2026.
