Taking place more than a thousand years after the events of the first game, Lords Of The Fallen introduces an all-new adventure in a vast, interconnected world, more than five times larger than the original game. As one of the fabled Dark Crusaders, embark on an epic quest to overthrow Adyr, the demon God.
An expansive RPG experience - filled with NPC quests, compelling characters, and rich narrative - players will need to create their own hero before tackling the immersive single player campaign. They will also have the option to invite a second player to join their adventure in uninterrupted online co-op - a new feature for the franchise.
After an age of the cruelest tyranny, the demon God, Adyr, was finally defeated. But Gods… do not fall forever. Now, aeons later, Adyr’s resurrection draws nigh. As one of the fabled Dark Crusaders, journey through both the realms of the living and the dead in this expansive RPG experience, featuring colossal boss battles, fast challenging combat, thrilling character encounters, and deep, immersive storytelling. Will your legend be one of light… or one of darkness?
Coexisting like two sides of the same coin, the Dual Worlds of Axiom (the realm of the living) and Umbral (the realm of the dead) each feature their own unique pathways, enemies, characters, and, of course, treasures. And while it is often down to the player which realm they journey through, they will regularly need to switch from one to the other in order to progress.
Dare to Hope.
CI Games and Hexworks confirmed Lords of the Fallen has sold over 2.5 million copies worldwide, officially breaking even at the end of February on a total budget of 298 million Polish złoty ($80.45 million, based on current exchange rates), including development and marketing.
Following more than 70 post-launch updates, the game surpassed 2 million units sold in August 2025. This momentum was further strengthened by the release of Version 2.5 in December 2025 — the final major update — which introduced a new Veteran Mode and enhanced enemy encounters across the entire game, delivering a more demanding and refined experience.
Marek Tyminski, CEO and Co-Founder of CI Games made a statement:
“Reaching break-even is a significant milestone, ensuring financial stability alongside the recent capital raise, but we know there’s more to achieve. The lessons learned and community feedback gathered over the past 2.5 years have been invaluable, and they continue to guide the development of Lords Of The Fallen II.
Reaching break-even is a significant achievement for an ambitious project like Lords of the Fallen, especially in a challenging market. It validates the passion and hard work of our team, as well as the unwavering support from our community. While this brings financial stability and sets a strong foundation, we view it as an important step—not the finish line. Full success for the Lords of the Fallen universe lies ahead, with more to deliver to fans old and new."
The announcement follows news that CI Games secured an additional $19 million in investor funding, which will be used to diversify distribution channels of Lords Of The Fallen II. Recently released alpha footage of the sequel — showcasing faster, more aggressive combat — has already received widespread praise.
