LMS2 will feature a new U.S.A setting, with brand new location designs for players to play in. From suburban lawns to commercial and municipal locations, the game will feature contracts set in all manner of locations of varying sizes and themes.
Featuring a brand new setting with all new contracts, which will be built with a new grass tech to allow players to get the best cut ever. New mowers and string trimmers will be included, as well as the much requested leaf blowers! But Leaf Blowers wouldn’t be much fun without a lot of leaves to blast! So in LMS2 we plan on having a system where tens of thousands of leaves can be blown around at once.
Skyhook Games are investing a lot of development time to build a new grass system from scratch, that will allow for the Lawns in LMS2 to be more beautifully rendered and offer much more variety in looks and how the player interacts with them. Flowers and weeds will now become a part of the lawn's make up, as well as much more variation in the uncut lawn, which will really highlight your efforts as a player to make an overgrown lawn look perfect.
Career mode gets a total overhaul for all you management fans with an explorable HQ to run your business from, as well as enhanced character customisation.
Skyhook Games is thrilled to announce that the Lawn Mowing Simulator 2 Kickstarter campaign is now live.
The campaign, which will run until April 23rd, has an initial target of £15,000, with additional stretch goals including bonus in-game equipment, locations, and the potential to bring the game to the Nintendo Switch 2.
Among the initial campaign tiers, backers will be able to pick up a digital key for the game on their chosen platform at launch, along with an exclusive in-game item and their name included in the credits. Higher tiers also offer ways to dedicate in-game items to top supporters, while the ultimate tier will allow the top backer to name the town where Lawn Mowing Simulator 2 is set.
For the past year, Skyhook Games has been combing through feedback to the original Lawn Mowing Simulator, which was released with publisher support back in 2021. As a way of thanking the community for their passion and support, the team recently self-funded a large quality of life update, as well as the new ‘Heritage Park’ DLC.
“We’re incredibly excited to be launching the Kickstarter campaign for Lawn Mowing Simulator 2 today, bringing players into our vision for the game and letting them back what they want to see from the game’s future development,” said David Harper, Managing Director at Skyhook Games. “As a small, independent, self-publishing developer, enabling the community to be involved in the future direction of the game’s development via Kickstarter stretch goals – while committing to self-fund the game through to release – is a key aim for the team. We can’t wait to see how players engage with the Kickstarter campaign.”
