Imagine running a marathon in a lobster onesie, dodging exploding melons, ravenous Shiba Inu dogs, and bizarre TV game show antics. That’s Nippon Marathon 2: Daijoubu!
But what does “Daijoubu” mean? It’s a popular Japanese phrase meaning “It’s okay,” “I’m fine,” or “Everything’s under control!”—exactly what you’ll be shouting (or hoping) as you navigate Nippon Marathon 2: Daijoubu’s outrageous courses packed with unexpected surprises.
With ragdoll physics that defy logic, a cast of eccentric characters, and courses bursting with absurd hazards, just about anything can happen—and it probably will.
Leaning further into its Japanese TV theme, Nippon Marathon 2 is set to leave fans shouting “Konnichi-what?!” instead of “Konnichiwa!”
Nippon Marathon 2: Daijoubu is coming to Steam Early Access on April 17, 2026, bringing even more hilarity and chaos to your screens.
“NM2: Daijoubu is everything we loved about the first game — that pick‑up‑and‑play Dreamcast energy, the Micromachines and Takeshi’s Castle influences, tied together with vastly improved gameplay and visuals,” said Andy Madin, developer. “We wanted a sequel that feels familiar but completely unhinged — a celebration of chaos, comedy, and the wonderful weirdness of Japan.”
Nippon Marathon 2: Daijoubu sprints into Early Access with three brand new stages, totally revamped graphics, a full create‑a‑contestant mode, and a brand‑new photo mode for capturing every ridiculous mid‑air wipeout.
During Early Access, Onion Soup Interactive will drop major updates — including online multiplayer, new stages, new contestants, and more ways to sabotage your friends in the form of new weapons. With community feedback steering development, the final release aims to deliver the perfect blend of skill, chaos and rivalry.
Key Features:
A New Tour of Japan: Fresh, exaggerated stages inspired by real-world Japanese locations.
