The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales is an action RPG set in the world of Philabieldia - a beautiful but savage land dominated by warring beast tribes. Humanity’s last bastion is the Kingdom of Huther, protected by its tall walls and Princess Heuria’s powerful magic.

When a mysterious set of ruins is discovered, a young adventurer named Elliot and his fairy companion Faie are sent off on a journey to investigate. What seems like a simple, if dangerous, mission soon becomes a grand saga that will be woven across time and space.

As Elliot, you’ll explore an expansive world, from grassy plains to dank caves and mysterious ruins. Hordes of enemies roam these lands, but fortunately Elliot is well-equipped to deal with them. He can wield seven types of weapons, from swords for close quarters combat, bows for ranged attacks and even chains and sickles that can pull enemies towards him.

These weapons can be customized with magicite to increase their utility further. Some magicite has simple stat boosts - such as increasing attack damage - while others have effects that change their very function. A personal favorite is the Linked Arrows magicite which adds an extra hit to foes around your target when you use your bow.

A Story of Four Ages across a Thousand Years

To lift the curse on Princess Heuriaof Huther, Elliot and Faie will cross through the Doorway of Time to visit different periods in history.

They will travel from their own time, the Age of Safekeeping, further and further into the past. Across every age, a terrible threat looms over Elliot and Faie’s adventure.

Age of Magic - A Golden Age

Further back in time than the Age of Reconstruction is the Age of Magic. It is the height of prosperity for humanity, driven by technological advances in magic—so much so as toeven drive back the beast tribes.

But the future beyond this prosperity is a world of ruin. Doubtless, somewhere in this age, gears are out of alignment.

Weyzn

Weyznis a nation of magic lined with magnificent buildings, quite out of place in the beastmen-filled Philabieldiafamiliar to Elliot. The nation’s prosperity is supported by two magical research institutions: Forthewor, which doggedly pursues technological advancement by any means, and Formanit, which follows the enrichment of people’s lives as its lodestar. The lives of the citizens of Weyznare wholly dependent on magic, and research on it continues unceasingly.

Characters

Fausta (Voiced by: Sayaka Oohara/ Elizabeth Maxwell)

Formerly of Forthewor, this erudite researcher went independent to form and head the FormanitInstitute. Her earnest and rigorous approach to research has earned her the profound trust of her employees.

Marnie (Voiced by: Sayumi Suzushiro/ Suzie Yeung)

A researcher at the FormanitInstitue. She is an expert in magic technology, particularly in the field of mechanical engineering, and carries out field tests of the magical organisms known as thaumata. Marnie looks up to Director Fausta and devotes herself wholly to the institute’s principle of magic research to make people happy.

Hildebrandt (Voiced by: Show Hayami / Christopher Smith)

Director of the FortheworInstitute. A realist who prioritizes results, the numerous fruits of his outstanding research skills saw him appointed as director at a young age. He is regarded highly by the populace of Weyznfor his breakthroughs in magic development.

Ikarus (Voiced by: Yuuya Uchida / Chris Okawa)

Head of Weyzn’snobility. Stern and serious, he spares no effort in fulfilling his responsibility of governing Weyzn. Due to his concerns about Forthewor’sreckless pursuit of progress, he has formed a cooperative relationship with Fausta, to whom he turns for advice.

System: Weapon Enhancements

Elliot can find seven types of weapons to support him on his adventure. Stronger versions exist among weapons of the same type, boasting not simply greater attack power, but stronger special attacks as well. Find the weapons scattered throughout the caves and ruins of the various ages and stay on the leading edge of adventuring.

Some more powerful weapons lie in areas unrelated to the main story. If you come across someplace yet unexplored, a detour may be in order. With a stronger weapon, the possibilities expand for how it might be combined with other weapons or customized with magicite. Put some thought into new battle strategies whenever you acquire a new weapon.

System: Magicite Enhancements

Magicite, which imparts various effects to weapons, comes in different rarities. Even among magicitewith the same effect, rarer versions may boast greater effects. The more magiciteyou form, the greater chances you have of forming rarer magicite, so form early and form often.

Lightning mallet magiciteadds bolts of lightning to hammer special attacks. Rarer versions add more bolts, striking enemies in a wider area. There is a limit to how much magiciteyou can equip, with more powerful magicitecoming at a greater cost. As rarity goes up, however, down goes the cost, allowing you to enjoy even more flexible customization.

Adventuring Diversion: Faie’s Magic Lessons

Finding new fairy magic for Faie unlocks minigames in the form of Faie’s magic lessons. Make the most of a newly learned magic ability to earn points in that particular lesson. Based on your score when clearing the lesson, you’ll be rewarded with records that allow you to listen to the in-game soundtrack.

Access Faie’s magic lessons from her part of the menu. Listen to records in the Music menu. In addition to score-based rewards, some records can also be picked up mid-minigame.

• Magic Lesson—Sprint: Race along the snowy slope while racking up points. Reach the goal before the avalanche reaches you for an even higher score.
• Magic Lesson—Warp: Warp around from platform to platform in this lava-filled stage. Watch out for platforms that move and sink, and walls that are a challenge to warp through.

Switch 2 owners can download a demo for the game today. This ‘Debut Demo’ is designed to give you a sense of the exploration and action you’ll experience in the game, so expect plenty of crunchy combat, spooky caves and all kinds of secrets hidden around.

See a crackable wall? Blow it to smithereens with a bomb and you might discover a Secret Treasure Route- a small dungeon you can explore for valuable rewards.

Perhaps you’ll find a Shrine of Life - these optional challenges put your combat and traversal skills to the test. Perhaps you’ll find valuable loot like magicite or money. Always remember - this is a game that rewards the curious.

Or, you could follow the quest markers and delve into a deadly swamp, and the Unexplored Ruins beneath. This multi-level dungeon is full of dangers - so be sure to use everything you’ve learned to find your way through.
