Take to the busy streets of Berlin, Germany, on an impressively realistic 1:1 scale, transporting city folk from destination to destination on custom-designed routes that hit all of the vibrant districts, tourist attractions, and popular landmarks along the way. With incredibly high-resolution visuals, players will get an immersive and realistic “public transportation” experience, all from the comfort of the driver’s seat.

The Bus’ massive, meticulously detailed in-game map allows players to edit lines and routes, timetables, tours, and more. Board and deboard passengers, oversee ticket sales, and maneuver through AI-controlled traffic that features a variety of vehicles, pedestrians, and complex traffic light routines. With the “Free Movement” feature, players can even explore the world “on foot” and walk freely inside of their busses. Dynamic weather patterns make for unpredictable workdays, while the full day and night cycle crank the immersion up to a whole new level.

In The Bus, you build and customize a fleet of meticulously detailed public transport busses and plan transport routes. You are fully in control of which vibrant districts, tourist hot spots, and city landmarks you want to pass along the way! Along with all of the usual specific simulation must-haves, The Bus will introduce true multiplayer gameplay, something unique to the genre.

Aerosoft, TML Studios and Rivet Games are proud to reveal two upcoming DLCs for The Bus, including a major expansion: New York City. The new DLC brings players to Manhattan for a bus driving experience shaped by its distinctive street grid, busy traffic and world-famous cityscape. A companion bus DLC also adds an 18-metre US LFSA articulated vehicle built for the demands of 34th Street in the Big Apple.

At the heart of the reveal is The Bus - New York City. Players can drive the M34 and M34A lines across 6.5 km of Manhattan, serving over 26 bus stops. The M34 crosses 34th Street between the east and west waterfronts, while the M34A connects the Port Authority area with 34th Street and continues towards FDR Drive.

The route takes in 25 city blocks, more than 300 handcrafted buildings and hundreds of street objects. Detailed road layouts, bus stop locations and architectural styles bring a slice of New York to life, while local traffic systems, crowds, AI buses and events create the challenges of driving through a busy city.

Full timetables for Monday to Friday, Saturday and Sunday give players different ways to experience both lines. Further expansion through free updates is planned after release.

An articulated bus for 34th Street:

Alongside the city DLC, The Bus - New York US LFS Bus expands the fleet with a fourth-generation US LFSA: an 18-metre, three-door articulated bus suited to New York’s busy streets. The vehicle includes fully adjustable wing mirrors, interior and exterior lighting controls, a working accessible ramp, a unique operator screen, US currency and customisable interior and exterior options.

Two further 12-metre variants are planned: a fourth-generation two-door US LFS and a first-generation two-door US LFSe.

Both DLCs will also be available on consoles in the future.
