As WP's managing editor, I edit review and preview articles, attempt to keep up with the frantic pace of Rainier's news posts, and keep our reviewers on deadline, which is akin to herding cats. When I have a moment to myself and don't have my nose in a book, I like to play action/RPG, adventure and platforming games.

2. 'Star Wars Jedi: Survivor' (PS5, XSX, PC)

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is the next installment in the action/adventure series chronicling the journey of Jedi Cal Kestis and will expand upon the stories, worlds, characters, and combat first experienced in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

Redmond Carolipio: Respawn is an outstanding studio, but I wasn't expecting Fallen Order to be as truly enjoyable as it ended up being. Other than "The Mandalorian," it's my favorite piece of new Star Wars storytelling. Now we get to explore more with Cal Kestis as he expands his understanding of the Force and finds his path, which will undoubtedly be richer and much more involved. We'll have to find out if it has moments that can match or even top the energy of the final confrontation of the first one.

Chris "Atom" DeAngelus: Star Wars Jedi: Survivor returns us to the shoes of Cal Kestis, a former Jedi Padawan who is one of the very last survivors of the old Jedi Order. The first game saw him struggling to survive in the wake of the Jedi Purges. The sequel looks to take him even deeper into the underworld in his attempts to find a way to save the Jedi and fight the empire. This time, he'll have plenty of new weapons, including a Kylo Ren-style "flaming" lightsaber and what looks like his very own blaster pistol. Fallen Order was one of the more enjoyable Star Wars games on the market, and it is exciting to see what a more polished sequel can do.

Rhi "StormyDawn" Mitera: Jedi: Fallen Order was a perfect storm of a game, with beautiful graphics, a compelling story, interesting characters, and combat that's challenging without being punishing. Everything I've seen so far gives the impression that Jedi Survivor will be even better. This series has the potential to oust KOTOR as my favorite Star Wars series of all time. Plus, I'm just really excited to spend more time with Cal and BD-1.

Tony "OUberLord" Mitera: Jedi: Fallen Order is one of the best Star Wars games ever made, and it's the continuation of Respawn's uncanny ability to develop games that are absolutely my jam. I want to see what Cal is up to now that he's grown into his place in the universe. Crank up the difficulty and earn that victory in every single fight, without a blaster to ever be found in your inventory.

Andreas Salmen: Jedi: Survivor feels like a safe sequel, mainly because we haven't seen all too much of it yet. The first glimpses indicate smart additions to gameplay and environments, building on the excellent Fallen Order, and I hope the story can pick up a few paces and deliver a truly epic Star Wars story in video game form. We're long overdue on that front.
