Good progress has been made on the server drama. One of our file servers is operational again, and the new WP server is nearing completion (80% done), so if all goes smoothly, we will be able to flip the switch sometime this week.
We watched the latest episodes of Fringe and The Walking Dead, both quite good. I'm especially happy that the latter show has stuff happening instead of running around in the woods for hours on end like it did earlier in the season. A close-up view of somebody getting his face eaten perks you right up.
I forgot to mention this a few days ago, but our thoughts go out to the family and friends of Insomniac gameplay programmer Michael Kuehl, who passed away last week.

Wow, my internal clock is all messed up. I thought it was Saturday today. Talk about a rude awakening!
My fascination with Stronghold Kingdoms is wearing thin. After a month-long war with an opposing house, we're at a stalemate, with agreements are being broken and multi accounters ruining the fun. (Oddly enough, only the second or third account gets banned, not the main one, so whoever cheated can soldier on.) On top of that, several of our players don't seem to have the stomach to fight a prolonged war and are simply quitting the game. Can't blame them. Honestly, I'm thinking of doing the same because it simply sucks up too much time.

We're all here, and we survived the first day. Tomorrow the grand doors of E3 open for real, shortly after the Nintendo press briefing. Hopefully we get to see the Wii2 indeed!
With all the craziness going on yesterday, I wanted to point out that it was the 67th anniversary of the Normandy invasion, more commonly known as D-Day. Important to remember, especially since WW2 veterans are getting fewer and fewer.

News will be rather quiet for the day, as it is Memorial Day in North America, and most businesses are closed. However, we'll be around to cover what's out there in between eating ribs, cornbread casserole and creme anglaise for dessert.
No dice on the movie watching yesterday. Maybe we'll have better luck — read less lazy — today. We did watch a few episodes of Hawaii Five-0 and brought down the DVR to 20%! Go team!
Our large-scale attack on our main enemy in Stronghold Kingdoms was a success. After 10 hours of constant attacks, one of the enemy's factions surrendered. Now we are working out a peace agreement for them to either support us in the Governor election or just join our house.
