Ever since Valve released The Orange Box, the PC edition has received numerous updates, especially the Team Fortress 2 portion, and a cumulative update is planned for the X360 version. In
a recent interview, Valve's Gabe Newell revealed that it has no plans to issue these updates for the PS3 version since it was not done internally, and EA is not working on anything. Newell also reiterated that there is no PS3 version of its zombie shooter L4D in the works simply because "We don't have the bandwidth," which means they do not have the manpower for it.

One of the new items, the Axtinguisher, does about half of normal damage to standard run-of-the-mill non-burning enemies, once you light someone on fire the Axtinguisher will guarantee a critical hit. At the same token there will be significant changes to the Pyro class for everyone, regardless of whether they have unlocked any new items.

You may’ve heard that new achievements, maps, and unlockable items are on the way. The first map, Goldrush, introduces a new game mode. The BLU team must escort a high-tech mining cart through a series of checkpoints to the RED base within a time limit. The more BLU players near the cart, the faster the cart moves. The cart stops if any RED team member is in the vicinity. Valve is currently the map; look for it within the month.
