As we revealed over the weekend, Turbine, Inc. announced today officially announced it has selected Codemasters to be the online service provider for Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach in Europe. Codemasters will be responsible for hosting, community management, technical support and billing for DDO: Stormreach in Europe when it launches next year.

Gas Powered Games has released an updated demo for its recently released RPG Dungeon Siege 2. This demo features the same intro movies and a tutorial section up to the Elven Shrine area from the Mercenary campaign, but is now updated with all the bug fixes and patches, and more importantly, 500mb smaller. MMORPG is reporting that codemasters has signed a publishing agreement with Turbine to bring its upcoming Dungeon & Dragons Online: Stormreach to European gamers. After cancelling its internal MMO Dragon Empire, it seems Codemasters has gotten back into the online gaming business, a few months ago it announced RF Online and now Turbine's anticipated DDO: Stormreach. An official announcement should arrive on Monday, when Codmeasters plans to open their official DDO website.

In a
Dungeon Siege II post mortem interview over at IGN, Gas Powered Games' Chris Taylor revealed that they are indeed interested in expanding the DS franchise or creating another enty, whether that be a third iteration or addon to the DS II title, while still working on Supreme Commander. Oddly enough Chris also makes a mention of the recent MMO success, probably hinting at World of Warcraft, saying they are cooking up something "new and exciting here." To be continued...

Claire Forlani is joining the cast of "Dungeon Siege," director Uwe Boll's adaptation of the video game of the same name currently shooting in Vancouver. Forlani will play Solana, wife of the film's hero, Farmer, played by Jason Statham. Forlani has appeared in such films as "Mystery Men" and "Meet Joe Black."
