We went to see
Captain America: The First Avenger last night, and we loved it! It sure lived up to the hype, which is always a good thing, and it was surprisingly funny, with lots of stuff blowing up, good special effects and even a little romance (just a tad) for the more sentimental viewers. Adam got to see it earlier this week.
Read his review if you want more details.
For people who have not yet seen it, stay until after the credits. There is the customary extra footage, but this time it's not just "some" Avengers bit, but an actual teaser trailer that shows Iron Man, Thor, the new Hulk (
Mark Ruffalo) and Cap himself, of course.
Apart from that, not much going on this weekend. Maybe We'll go for a hike, watch some
Burn Notice,
Rescue Me, or
The Tourist, which has been lying around for weeks.

GDC is over! There were some good announcements, some good games, and lots of nice parties and events all around. From what I recall, this GDC news cycle was a little slower than usual. Unfortunately, this also means that E3 is just around the corner, and according to a few of our PR friends, the planning has already begun. Yuck!
Yesterday, we gave away a batch of Black Ops First Strike PS3 DLC codes on our official Twitter account, so if you are into that sort of thing, you might want to

Last night, we watched Chuck, NCIS and a documentary about Ozzfest's 10th anniversary.

Last night was a load of fun. We celebrated a friend's birthday with dinner, a night on the town and drinks aplenty.
We didn't come home until the middle of the night, hence the late update, so apologies about that.
We'll see what we can scrounge up for some updates, but first, must get some much-needed coffee because the brain is still in sleep mode.

Ahh, it's good to be home again, sleep in our own bed and drive our own car. Always love leaving for vacation, but equally enjoy getting back to our own place.
Apart from a little scare when the check-in terminal and the customer service desk couldn't find my reservation for the flight, the traveling went without a hitch.
We came back just in time, too, because our DVR was 79% filled with recordings. Luckily, quite a few were repeats and double recordings, but once we plopped ourselves on the couch and watched NCIS, Stargate Universe and Human Target, we're back to about 50%.

We made it back home safely from the concert, and it was quite fun. The opening act was Attitude Adjustment, some hardcore/punk band that wasn't very interesting, but Anvil was good! I picked up a new t-shirt and had it signed by the band, which in retrospect is a bit whack. Now I can't wear it since I won't want to wash off the autographs.
Later today, we are finally going to see The Book of Eli and hopefully stop by the Apple store to get my ipod fixed. Listening to the radio sucks.
