'Half-Life 2: Deathmatch' and 'CS:S' Get Steamy Update #15

Valve has released three new Half-Life 2: Deathmatch maps, which are now available via Steam. These maps were created by the three players who won our recent HL2:DM mapping contest. If you have HL2:DM installed in your Steam games list, you will receive the new maps automatically. This release also includes a Counter-Strike: Source update which fixes incorrect player names appearing in the scoreboard.

'Pariah' - Multiplayer Demo Coming Friday

Pariah focuses on a robust immersive storyline that weaves survival elements into the traditional run-and-gun style of first-person action games. Digital Extremes sent us an email announcing that there will be a multiplayer demo available this coming Friday, and of course we will have it available on our fileserver network. The demo will feature 2-3 playable multiplayer maps, have all weapons available (except titanium first, which is only a singleplayer weapon), 3 driveable vehicles and be about 300mb in size.

Due to continuous below-average sales, French publisher Big Ben has decided to close down its UK office. Open a little over five years, Bigben Interactive UK Ltd never really took off like its parent company had envisioned. The recent Dance:UK eXtra Trax sales were satisfactory, but its fate was already sealed, as it barely improved the weak overall sales figure during last year's Christmas period. One of the reasons given was the lack of console units available on the market during the last holiday season, which resulted in a below-average sale of game units.
