In the past weeks, we've delved into some of the games you haven't played (but really should), taking in some of the best of the unknown horror and comedy games. With those two extremes out of the way, this time, we're going to focus on independent games, which are PC-only, with one pseudo-exception. For those of you who didn't read the previous articles, these are games that you've probably not played, but you really should.

Sledgehammer is a pure action game on wheels, a festival of demolition and speed, all in one. Drive the most powerful truck and destroy every opponent that you’ll find on the road or go to the multiplayer mode and decide who is the king of the highway.

The journey in The Sims 2 Castaway begins when your Sims are washed ashore on an uncharted tropical island, and must overcome the forces of nature, craft tools for survival, and explore their surroundings to unravel the island's mysteries.

WoW: Wrath of the Lich King will open the forbidding wasteland of Northrend to exploration by the hardiest adventurers. New levels of power, challenging new dungeons and encounters, an exciting new character profession, and the game’s first hero class are just some of the new features awaiting players in Wrath of the Lich King.
