'The Sims' Movie Adaptation In The Works At Barbie Production Company LuckyChap, And Vertigo Entertainment

The Sims is a strategic life-simulation of the daily activities of one or more virtual people in a suburban household near a fictional city.

Margot Robbie's LuckyChap, known for producing Warner Bros.' Barbie, is working on a movie adaptation of Will Wright’s life-sim series The Sims.

The Sims movie will be directed by Kate Herron, known for working on Disney+'s Loki series, while also co-writing the script with actress/producer Briony Redman.

The Sims is a popular game series that allows players to create a neighborhood of simulated people known as “Sims” and control their lives.

Since its release in 2000, the franchise, which now spans 4 titles with dozens of expansions-packs, has sold over 200 million copies.
