In Tenjutsu, you play as a renegade yakuza hellbent on defying her former associates and loosening their grip on the Secret Garden City.
This fast and fluid rogue-jutsu is the latest game from Sébastien Benard, designer of the acclaimed Dead Cells.
Four powerful crime syndicates control the city, ruling with an iron fist. To defeat them, you must master a brutal brawling system and build a diverse arsenal of weapons, upgrades, and martial arts techniques, breaking their hold on the streets in a flurry of violence.
Deepnight Games and Devolver Digital revealed that Tenjutsu will be coming to Switch 2 alongside PC in 2027.
As these sinister organizations fall to your fists, tackled in any order you wish, the city is reborn.
The ruined streets become vibrant and full of life, and you can spend gathered resources in shops and restaurants to help you on your quest.
In this martial arts roguelike, shape the city to fit your play style and unlock new weapons, combat moves, and areas to explore. Just don't take too long: the longer you spend preparing, the stronger your enemies will become.
Key Features:
- BRAWL FOR ALL: True “one versus many” fast-paced martial arts combat system with endless room to define your own playstyle by combining melee, ranged and special weapons against ever changing enemies.
- OPEN FOR BUSINESS: A shifting, randomized city you’re free to explore, with many tools to transform it to suit your own needs. Use Jokers to bend the city’s rules in your favor, building vending machines that fit your current needs, altering the content or pricing of shops or choosing to heal yourself to keep fighting.
- DENTAL PLAN: Beat enemies and collect their “tattooed teeth” to obtain permanent advantages between your runs: expand the city, change the game rules, gain access to advanced weaponry and more. Just don’t ask the mysterious Dentist any questions…
- NARRATIVE TAKEAWAY: Home is where the story unfolds. Between runs, many things will transpire in your apartment and Nanny Hoken’s ramen shop below. Visitors will come by, including your enemies. Mysteries will unfold, and daily life will paint a broader picture of life in Kuroboro.
Tenjutsu is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 and PC in 2027.
