Remedy Entertainment and Kinetic Games announced “Phasmophobia by Alan Wake”, a limited-time in-game event that brings the world of Alan Wake 2 into Phasmophobia.
The collaboration marks the first-ever crossover for Phasmophobia and will be available from May 12 through June 2 across all platforms.
In this event, elements of Alan Wake 2 begin to surface within Phasmophobia’s investigations, introducing new supernatural encounters and reshaping familiar locations.
“Working with Remedy has been an incredible experience, and the way these two worlds overlap has opened up some unsettling possibilities that we’re excited for players to explore,” said Daniel Knight, CEO of Kinetic Games. “It’s a natural crossover, and our art team has been hard at work capturing the atmosphere of Alan Wake 2, bringing the essence of some of the game's iconic locations into Phasmophobia. We can’t wait for fans of both games to see what the event has in store on May 12.”
“There are many fans of Phasmophobia at Remedy, so it was a thrilling opportunity to bring these two horror worlds together,” said Sam Lake, Creative Director at Remedy Entertainment. “It was a joy to write for this collaboration. As Alan Wake writes a new manuscript in the depths of the Dark Place, the paranormal investigators of Phasmophobia find themselves trapped in a horror story. Our two twisted worlds amplify each other perfectly.”
Phasmophobia puts teams of up to four players in the role of paranormal investigators, using ghost-hunting equipment to gather evidence across haunted locations. Since launching in Early Access in 2020, it has become a global hit, with over 27 million copies sold and a highly engaged player community.
“Phasmophobia by Alan Wake” will be available for a limited time from May 12 to June 2. More details will be shared soon.
